I honestly don't think John is or ever was "on." I just think he's a moderately gifted guy who used to lift the heaviest weights he could.
As for his recent appearance ... as Johnny himself has said, he wasn't exactly utiliizing "proven" bodybuilding methods. Coupled with a possible drug problem (read: meth), I'm not too surprised he's shrunk in recent years.
I just wish some of Johnny's so-called "friends" would be honest with him and wake him up to the fact that he is NOT realizing his potential. For a tall young man, his genetics are incredible. Moreover, some of his posturing aside, I think he has a very good heart (hence all of the weird Eastern philosophy and reptile talk).
Unfortunately, John's friends are either unwillling or unable to put him back on the proper path. Adam Abeles has certainly remained silent (as he usually does when it comes time to prove anything; ironic, since he claims he's accredited with some kind of university science degree); you'll never see the True Anus offer Johnny anything in the way of productive advice here. (Oops, I forgot: along with his apparently infinite deadlifting ability, Adam also promised a
training tape of himself and Johnny. Whatever became of that, I don't know.)
I tell you what: I extend an open offer for "Johnny" to meet my boyfriend and me in Charlotte, NC.
We'll even travel to see you; my best friend lives in Morganton, so I'm no stranger to moving up the highway to meet someone
