They are clearly trying to distance themselves from a liability but it's too late. Guiliani stood shoulder to shoulder with this woman while she basically claimed the election is a coup.
That's the kind of shit that starts wars. If she has no evidence to substantiate her allegations, and has been carelessly leading the country down a catastrophic path, we should bring back the public gallows.
The Republican party was 100% with her. "Oh she's not our lawyer." Please. We all saw you at the podium together. They need to show the facts they possess and how they drew their conclusions. If they have nothing which demonstrates hard fraud, and they've been knowingly making speculative and inflammatory claims, they'll lose all credibility, never be taken seriously again, and might as well just disband.
They didn't have to be in this position. They chose to make strong claims of outrageous misconduct and insist they were all true. Nobody put them on the spot. They did it to themselves. "We're going to show you all the evidence real soon." And then they don't.

If they leave their supporters with egg on their faces, people will never forgive it. I certainly won't. I'm not a Trump loyalist but I wanted him over Biden and his dogshit socialist policies. I would guess harcore MAGA people would be feeling very betrayed by the Republican mishandling of this situation.
