In Canada, 26 people under the age of 40 have died of COVID [current as of 09-23-2020].  TWENTY SIX!  You dumb fuck!  The average person who dies of COVID is 84.8 years old, with 2-3 separate health issues.  Do you know how many people even live over the age of 85?  Only 15%!  And with 2-3 health problems, the percentage drops to 6%!

That means that, on average, the people dying of COVID were within 6-18 months away from dying anyway.

I won't be getting it unless I absolutely have to.

I wear a mask in crowded places because in my state they will make you leave without a mask. There aren't enough options where I live to shop around. Some places don't care about a mask, but very few.

The local Albertsons has a Cop who stands at the entrance to enforce the rules.

The vaccine WILL be mandatory at some level. Most likely for schools and travel at first, eventually other businesses might force it too.

Sure, wearing masks is a good way to reduce disease transmission.  It's not  as important as wearing one in an indoor enclosed area, you are correct.  The football players wearing masks on the sidelines is pointless security theatre.  I think Americans are in denial over the fact that this pandemic cant be controlled without serious restrictions.

I don't know your stance but I suspect that we agree that the half measures in place are ineffectual at best, and actively harmful at worst.
