Would you ever describe yourself as a bodybuilder to people? I wouldn't...too much stigma attached.

I would but I dont want people treating me like a gay male whore with a below average IQ with a propensity for using needles..

no because you would have to look the part while fully clothed

if you look skinny you shouldn't tell people you are a bodybuilder

what do people call you when they see some guy walking around with posing trunks in thier mouth ?

someone said that they used to train with Lee Labrada and he was fully clothed and what not, looked very small compared to the other guys but when it was pose down time he blew them away.......

So after the guys thanked Lee for going down on them he posed with them too

true but people will expect you to look the part no matter what you are wearing so it's better not to say you are a bodybuilder, that is if you worry about what others think

I pursue muscle gain, fat loss, and healthy living in order to maximize my physical potential, so yes, I am a bodybuilder.

Tell these one-foot-in-the-grave muscle-before-health freaks to find their own word for what they do.

Yeah, I hear ya. I never say it anyways. People are usually like, "do you work out" or "you must lift weights", and I just say "a little".

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I walk around in longsleeves & pants year round. I'm not looking for attention (not that I'm anything special, mind you), but I personally think it's pathetic when someone with some muscle walks around in a wifebeater year round, trying to get attention. Talk about insecure......

Save it for the girls. They will believe anything even if you are 150 lbs she will believe you might be on roids and have competed numerous times haha!

Also, while you are at it, throw in the old "I used to be in the Special Forces" line! When girls talk about dates or men in their lives, it is only a matter of time till I hear the special forces bit. LOL! And they believe it!

Good question - I never say I am a bodybuilder. I think people have that sterotypical idea in their head that a bodybuilder automatically mean's you take steroids.
