I don't BS on here. He's a small guy. Not height-wise, he's kind of average there, maybe 5'8 or 5'9. Considering he fights at 140lbs and doesn't balloon up in between fights, he's not the biggest guy in the world, and he's narrow-shouldered. Whereas I weigh 225 so there's a considerable difference in size - when he was stood beside me in the lift it certainly seemed to me like he was small.

Anyways, this was several years ago at Chicago O'Hare airport and he was carrying a guitar for a film he was doing where he played a rockstar similar to Johnny Cash. We were on the same flight apparently.
Cool guy though the 2hrs we were there it was fucking annoying every 10-15 minutes people come up and interrupt our convo to get pics and autograph. Some just came up and took a pic of him and walked away without saying a word. It was fucking creepy..like he was a statue or something.
I asked if that shit happens all the time and he says it does. I couldn't put up with that shit..no way.

I used to see John a lot when he was still living in Silverlake. Small house ,with his wife and son.
He makes music and produces also ! I remember at the time he recorded the song "Closing time, Semi Sonics". They recorded it in his house.(Garage) Very Funny but nice man ,multi talented.. So is his wife Alison.

I met a lot of celebs when I was younger. My mother was a reporter when I was a kid. Never really thought much of it though. I met Buck Owens and crew from the Hee Haw show backstage. Jimmy Stewart,Ronald Reagan, almost John Wayne on same day but he was sick. I met Steve McQueen twice,got to sit on one of his bikes while he was tinkering with it, Ally McGraw was there. Some cast members from the Buck Rodgers tv show can't remember who have to ask on that one. Later on I met Danny Devito, Kathline Turner and Michael Douglas on the set of War of The Roses. At a Aerosmith concert I met Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern, Jeff later got on stage and performed "Big Ten Inch" with Steve.
I have to say the one I met that I was really floored over was someone many don't know of. He was a writer of many books I was reading as a kid. He wrote Gentle Ben and many many other great books. Usually centering around a young boy growing up in the wilderness with a dog or a horse. Anyway I was in middle school in the lunch line when a man In line behind me asked what I was reading. I turned to see who it was and I was shocked to see it was Walt Morey himself. I did a double take at his picture on the book to make sure. He smiled and asked if I would like to eat lunch with him and my teacher. Turned out he was touring schools promoting the benefit of reading. I sat and talked with him at length like he was a friend, he was very giving in his accounts of his adventures in his youth that he based so many of his stories on. Oh yeah I almost forgot Ryan Stiles (Herb from Two and a Half Men) lives not far from me. I have seen him and met him more times than I can remember. My wife and kids where trick or treating Halloween in same neighborhood with him and his family at same time.
Also Hillary Swank went to school with her she is younger and best friends with a friend of mine back then.

When I was a kid my parents owned a home in Encino, CA. There were celebrities and movie stars everywhere you went, the market, at restaurants at school functions. Running into them was no big deal. Needless to say some of my friends were celebrities' kids. I have a photo of my stepdad and Cary Grant taken by the pool at Cary's home in Encino. I kept it because it meant something to my dad. It is interesting how star struck people can be at times.

lived down the road from him in woodland hills back in '02. saw him at Target wearing some Euro-Playboy-type sunglasses in the store late at night... dunno how late it must've been, but had two little kids with him and I remember thinking 'wtf are these kids doing out this late.. dont' they have school in the morning?' then I realized who the 'dad' was... dunno if they were his kids. could've been nieces or something.
