Ok..on the record now...who wins the election today...and in what way?...I will go with Mitt Romney with 300 or more Electoral Votes....much as it pains me to say this.....
out of the battleground states, Obama gets Nevada, Wisconsin, and will get Florida in a surprise. Romney gets Virginia, Ohio, New Hampshire, Colorado, and Pennsylvania in a big surprise.
Obama gets women slightly and some hispanics but not by a huge enough margin to win...Romney gets the white male vote by 70% and wins over independents by a 2-1 margin......
Lets see who can come closest to predicting the victor, the extent of the electoral votes he gets and who wins the battleground states....once the thread has run its course, the loser stays off GETBIG for one month.....agreed?
by posting on this thread you agree to the terms...
-
313 Obama- Virginia, Ohio, Florida, New Hampshire, Colorado, Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania
225 Romney- North Carolina
Thats about it.
-
Obama wins by a wider margin than estimated.
-
Due to all the leeches in this country and all the fraud, voter intimidation, and the intentional suppression of the military vote perpetuated by Democrats, the clowninchief will eke out the win.
-
mitt by a hair
recount in MI
-
Obama may win North Carolina though.

You need to go back to the data and not your gut.
-
Why would I stay off of getbig because my political prediction was incorrect?
That's ridiculous.
-
I can't even speculate. I think this is gonna be an extremely close race. I can see arguments on either side.
-
You need to go back to the data and not your gut.
I don't blame you for saying that.,....it really pains me to say that Romney will win...and I must admit it is a gut feeling.....but I just do not trust the data for some reason and I really believe the the early vote did not favor Obama..plus the independents will go to Romney...
Also the "Bradley affect"....black candidates poll higher than is the true reality against white candidates.

They should call it the "Dinkins , Kwame Kilpatrick, Marion Barry, Charlie Rangle, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson Lee, Hank Johnson, Effect"
We all know what we get w black LIBERALS elected to power - DISASTER

more vitriol....where's your prediction???
I think Romney in a tight one - gets Oh, VA, CO, IA, 289 EV 50% - 49%
-
Obama wins.
Dems keep the Senate (not that it does much good without 60
Dems pick u a few seats in House but Repubs retain majority
Bonus round - neither Romney nor Ryan are ever on a national ticket again

forgot about IOWA...I give that state to Obama

LOL - even Debbie IsamanShultz does not think demos picking up seats.
-
Too close to call.. But I think that Obama is probably going to win by the curly hair on the back of his neck.
-
Obama....I don't think Romney was a strong enough contender, there were a lot of people who could have closed the door on this election but he wasn't one of them.
-
Too close to call.. But I think that Obama is probably going to win by the curly hair on the back of his neck.
for all he has done he should win...not to mention he should win based alone on Romney's flip-flopping and lying
-

Yeah he has done so many great things. whatever moron.

Obama wins, barely. :'(

I think they pick up 1 in Va. Senate race for sure... The rest are probably safe all around.

Done what? Run this country into the ground?
And he makes Romney look like an amateur when it comes to flip-flopping (See: Gay marriage and Benghazi).
-
240 and andre called Romney.
So he's got that going against him.
-
obama wins both popular vote and electoral college, just over 50% on popular and the low 300 on the electoral
-
Done what? Run this country into the ground?

No one comes close to Romney on flip flopping.
He's in a category unto himself.
You would realize that if you turned off hate radio for five minutes and read a book.

That's why I said the "rest" are safe all around.
I am talking all of congress.

Romney is not merely a flip flopper
He's a con man, pathological liar and a sociopath

Hey, one of your Republican buddies just said that he checks his valuables when black people are around.
Keep voting in step with them.

Hey, one of your Republican buddies just said that he checks his valuables when black people are around.
Keep voting in step with them.
So what! I CHECK my valuables when other black people are around. Or, to quote Chris Rock, "When I go to the money machine tonight, I'm not looking over my back for the media; I'm looking for N&@^@!."
You foolishly act as if there aren't racist people in the Democrat party (do the names Robert Byrd and Al Gore Sr. ring a bell?).
BTW, there are Democrats that voted for marriage amendments and vehemently against gay "marriage", particularly BLACK DEMOCRATS. Heck, the Defense of Marriage Act was passed by SEVERAL DEMOCRATS in Congress (including the current VP) and signed into law by the very former president, helping Obama's campaign.
But, keep voting in step with them.
-
The thing that does kill me about Romney is how no matter who he is standing in front of, he will say whatever they want to hear.
There is no conviction in that man.
But hey... let's not forget that we spend billions of dollars for a job that pays 250k a year.
-

This post says more about you than anything you've ever posted.
Your boneheaded logic says that, just because some people on this forum are racist and vote Republican, I have to vote Democrat. I'm also supposed to vote Democrat simply because I'm black. WHATEVER!!!
By that cracked reasoning, you should NEVER vote Democrat, because there are plenty of Democrats and Obama supporters who are "homophobic".

Your math is off a bit. With the states you've listed for Romney, that takes him to precisely 270, with Obama taking 268.
-
Obama wins, barely. :'(
I've got him at 285, I think. Let me recount.
Edit: I'm saying 286 for Obama, but concede that 299 is not out of the realm of possibility (VA). 303 is the high number, IMO.
-
Don't forget Gitmo and the Bush tax cuts.
And the Patriot Act.

Obama by 5-10%
-
Obama by 5-10%
LOL! ! ! !
-
And the Patriot Act.
I forgot about that, too.
Since these terms of Andre makes no sense, I'm not agreeing to them.
With that said, my pick:
Romney: 275 - 295 EC votes (popular vote 52-48). As I've stated elsewhere, I think he sweeps the Southeast, gets Colorado, and wins Ohio.
Upset special: He gets Wisconsin or Pennsylvania.
-
I've got him at 285, I think. Let me recount.
With today, I have it at 269-269... With the Tie going to Romney.
However, my alternative is 272-266 Obama. With Obama losing Wisconsin but winning OH. and Va.
But that's just how close it will be.
It's not going to be a landslide on any level.
-

There is no conviction in that man.
But hey... let's not forget that we spend billions of dollars for a job that pays 250k a year.
this is why he is a con man and in my opinion a sociopath
he doesn't merely pretend to change his mind
he pretends he never held a position or belief in the first place and that's very different then merely changing your mind or flip flopping
he is a guy who will look you in the eye and tell you he never said something when you and he both know full well that he did
-
Why did it take you so long to admit defeat?
If Obama wins, America loses. Even you.

That would be the "We wuz robbed" routine.

You've scratched the surface of a dirty secret the Democrats aren't supposed to talk about: many blacks -- and thus by extension a fair portion of Democrats -- are as religious, socially regressive, racist, and just plain dumb as any stereotypical Tea Partier. I don't enjoy saying these things and they are no doubt contingent facts (i.e., they can and hopefully will change over time), but there they are all the same.

Romney Wins.
We get a few house seats.
in 3 years Obama is worth $200 mil
"My experience as the first black president"

This is how dems see job creators who prove keynesian economics wrong. Lucky gare in his padded cell.

Sigh. Again. Obama has done good things for the country. Has he been bad with the deficit? Yes. But at least try to be fair.

Well it would be nice to be an honest job creator. Romney's lying is amazing and you guys have a really short memory
-
Sigh. Again. Obama has done good things for the country. Has he been bad with the deficit? Yes. But at least try to be fair.
He came into office with a projected deficit of 1.2 trillion dollar deficit (per CBO before he took office) and when the stimulus was added it was ~ 1.4 trillon
It's been lower every year since then

It's really weird how you enter someone's thread and decide to change the rules. Relax and have fun. That cell-tech has you on edge.

I haven't used Cell-Tech in over a year. ;D
Besides, I didn't leave when Obama won last time. Why should I leave, if Obama wins again?

Who did that?
Not disagreeing, but I would like to understand who did that.
You can look in my previous posts and see how I predicted it.
A scientific study had 290 Obama and I said otherwise... Who was saying Obama would run over Romney?
-
lmao... youre funny...
Almost as funny as you claiming you were voting for Ron Paul and then spending the next 6 months defending everything Obama before voting for....Obama.

Didnt defend one thing obama did.. but i did deflate retarded ass arguments... you wanna say he fucked up on health care... ill give you that..but im not gonna play ball when you come on and say he is the reason its raining outside... if im funny for that... so be it

No. Too many morons saying they didn't vote for him because it would be a wasted vote, thus ensuring the status quo is maintained.
-
Yeah. I got fucked.
But what the hell?!
This is looking like a huge beat down. The guy is looking at pulling 331 EC votes.
Shocking to me, but Adonis called it. I give him that. Much bigger beat down than I expected.

wrong ....just like me

Can't believe that Paul Ryan ouldn't even help Romney carry Wisconsin.......and where was he for the last three weeks of the campaign???...they sure kept him under wraps

Ryan was an extreme voice - they had him at atlanta fundraised the last 20 days of the race. He couldn't go out in public without cleaning an already-clean dish or stuttering at some 16 year old in a street race.
Ryan is a wonk, and a loyal one, but he's NOT graceful with people. He'll never be president because of this. We didn't know that, but we saw that when he ran. He'll be a great congressman or cabinet member and have a great career - but shaking hands and being a leader? nope.

Agreed....I really believe that once Biden took him to school in that debate, Ryan became irrelevant....the Romney campaign kept him under raps

Fox still focusing on voter fraud.............WOW... FOX still traumatized.....grasping at straws as to why Romney lost..also claiming many military personnel could not vote

one can argue if he lost... but...
they did remove him from the spotlight following that debate, it's true.

They did the right thing in removing him as he espoused beliefs that included turning back Roe V. Wade and never said anything of substance directly to the American voter.
He was a horrible choice and is certainly one of the reasons they didn`t get any Democrats switching to Republican.
Ryan was a disaster.

Not bad, considering the GOP only held 15 governorships just two years ago.
That's partly why I think some of the talking heads are overreacting. I think the majority of the country is right of center. The fact more than half the states are governed by people who are presumably right of center would tend to support that belief.
-
I think the majority of the country is right of center.
Why did they elect Obama?
-

Repubs trending downward....Dems got 93% of black vote.....70% of Hispanics....over 80 percent of Asians!
40 percent of whites.....unless the Republicans can win the Martian vote they are doomed
-
Why did they elect Obama?
Romney didn't connect as well and many of the GOP base stayed home.
Plus, Romney (perhaps under the advise of the establishment Republican crew) failed to use the one thing that connects to those other racial demographics: FAITH-BASED ISSUES.
For all the criticism on Bush, let's face it. He's the last guy to win a presidential race for the GOP. He even got 40% of the Latino vote, up from 31% in 2000 (not much better than what Romney did).
The GOP establishment likes to avoid social issues like the plague, forgetting that the "value voters" were credited (by the right) and blamed (by the left) for Bush's re-election.
In many ways, this election was like the reverse of the 2004 election, as Democrats were in every bit of disbelief that Bush got re-elected as we are that Obama got re-elected.
That's why I said earlier, the talk from the conservatives and Tea Party folks will be that this listening to the establishment, putting moderates up to get beat down, is DONE.
The Dems didn't go to the center; they went to the left. The GOP doesn't need to go to the center; it needs to go to the right.
The church is the one venue that can bridge demographics and Romney didn't use it (or, at least, didn't use it effectively enough).
-

Not enough of your angry white buddies left, McWay. The demographics are only going to get worse for Republicans.

Not enough of your angry white buddies left, McWay. The demographics are only going to get worse for Republicans.
There are enough angry white people left congregating in certain states to make it very difficult for Obama to get anything really progressive passed, particularly in the House. Texas and Arizona may flip in the future when demographics change but the process of change is going to be much slower in states like Idaho, Wyoming, Montana and a few other deeply conservative states.
People are getting ahead of themselves with all this self congratulatory behavior. Lets see what happens during the mid-term elections.

white people, especially the men are going to have some tough times ahead due to the changing demos.....they are going to have to psychologically cope with being a monority and having less and less influence and less control over the direction of the country...they will stil have some control over the economy since they will consolidate their wealth

Talk to me again about what happened with the GOP base?
Read and realize...
http://www.cnn.com/2012/11/09/opinion/carville-buckwalter-poza-election/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
"Mitt Romney outperformed Sen. John McCain, the 2008 GOP presidential candidate, by 5 points with both white voters overall (59%) and white men (62%). He also bested McCain's margin among Republicans, winning 93% of self-identified Republicans as compared to McCain's 90%, and white evangelical voters, 79% compared with McCain's 73%. Romney lost by relying on a tapped-out, ever-shrinking group of voters."
Get back to shit that matters and stop trying to push your religious beliefs on people and you will be able to get something done.
