James Storm in WWE
« on: October 23, 2015, 05:28:00 PM »
Excellent signing.

As a mark for Cowboy gimmicks, I'm very biased, but, I think he'll be a top guy in the WWE.

He's a veteran with a fully formed personality. He can work, talk on the mike, and has natural charisma.

Look for good things from the Cowboy.

That said, he needs to lay off the longnecks, as he's looking pretty fat.

Did he sign already?

Apparently TNA offered him more money...
Offered him the belt.. built around him now that angle is out..

I might have spoke too soon. There seems to be a lack of clarity as to whether he's signed.

As far as TNA, build what? It's a Zombie promotion. What kind of future is there?

He could have a nice multi year run in WWE with a semi competent push.

He would be a good addition to the NXT brand but not sure about the main roster. Look at the people brought up thus far....

Neville who?

Kevin Owens...great feud with Cena now relegated to Ryback...

Storm would be lost in the shuffle

Neville is a great gymnast, but that's it. Zero personality or mic skills. Owens, good mic skills, good worker, but, does he have charisma? I haven't seen it.

Storm is a guy who would be a good program for Rollins.

I believe James Storm had a tryout at NXT but nothing more.

Meltzer, on a Podcast, was asked about Storm. He didn't have anything definitive, either, but he said they wouldn't put Storm on tv unless they intended to sign him.

I think he'll wind up back in TNA

Meltzer addressed this, too.

He said morale at TNA is in the toilet, as the talent was promised a bunch of house shows which never materialized. He also said that it was Del Rio who contacted WWE about returning. Looks like Vince is the only game in town, again.

He's been the only game in town since 2001. Smart wrestlers wrestle a couple of shows in the States then the rest in Europe or New Japan depending on what their contracts allow them to do. TNA has a bigger market in Europe and Asia.

How are NJPW payoffs these days?
I'm just curious.

Established stars are able to pull in anywhere from 5-10K per week.

I'm hoping he makes a surprise appearance at Survivor and then comes on Raw to explain his actions.

That would be cool. I wouldn't mind seeing that.

It seems like they're trapped in a box. On one hand, they don't want to deplete the NXT roster as it's a selling point for the Network; on the other, the main card needs help, badly.

Last night, the main event was Reigns/Rusev. The latter was just in a dopey love triangle angle. Now, we're supposed to buy him as a Main Eventer.

Btw, you're spot on about PPVs. They need to be limited to 4 a year, but, again, those "Special Events" are another selling point for the network.

Lizzy, I couldn't have said it better myself.
