Someday when True Asshole breaks a sweat in the gym, he'll find out their purpose.

I really don't know, BUT I heard it was designed to "strap down" over-sized ears so they don't flail in the wind.  Maybe aerodynamics or something....... ;D
That is all......

For what reason does someone don a bandanna and leave the house?

When you are tying it around your fat head, what are you thinking?   Do you think to yourselves, "this will make me look badass. Everybody will get out of my way. This is what the Pros do."

Please, someone who wears a handkerchief on their head, enlighten me on this issue.

why do you always have to talk about shawn ray?

I have a shaved head.....so, when I wear a bandanna the sweat doesn't run all over the back of my head and traps.  The days I forget to wear one, my friend thinks it is disgusting that all that sweat drips down on me.  Gym Towels are good for the first 30 minutes, but that gets soaked up pretty bad.

I guess I actually workout (unlike other people at the gym  ::))

i wear a beanie myself. first off i shave my head, so sweat gets in my eyes. secondly my gym doesn't have the best heating, so it helps (i know this increases the amount of sweat, but remember the beanie stops it!). and third, hell, i like the look. it's a goddamn hat, who cares? unless someone's wearing a fez, cowboy hat, or turban, i can't imagine why someone else's headgear is important enough to warrant a comment.

I usually wear either a bandanna or cap when I work out to keep my sweaty hair out of my eyes, it can be quite annoying.  The way i see it it's my only option besides slicking my hair back and looking like some skeezy Euro trash

It's just a form of headwear, like a cap. It suits some and doesn't suit others. Usually bald/going bald people wear it to hide their lack of hair. You'll be needing it soon, TA.

Hell if I fuckin' know. Probably the same reason someone wears a hat -- backwards.

good point, I hate that shit, when you get to a certain age there is no excuse to walk around with your hat backwards that just looks stupid.

For us who wear our hear closely cropped, eyebrows don't catch the sweat.  Especially if you are doing a hard cardio session.

For people with hair, especially guys, I think it is to hide the bald spot.

i guess.....

i have a shaved head....and i bring a small hand towel to wipe my head if i sweat too much...

but to each their own....

personally, i think the bandanna thing is weird...all thats missing is an eye patch and a parrot on the shoulder..

"ARRRGGG...three more reps mate!"
