It's funny but I'm always shocked how many liberals are on this get big.  In my life and also my social media I don't see it but on this site I do.  It's shocking that so many here believe the left are the one ones to lead this country.

I personally don't believe the left or right should lead this country. I would be absolutely thrilled to have someone in the center lead it.

You said it yourself, this country is contrived of left and right citizens. I would not want a Matt Gaetz or a AOC leading this country. Politics at it's base form is all about compromise... each party not getting something, but not everything. That's more a dictatorship if you want that. I envision a USA where the GOP controls everything as sucky just like I envision a USA where the Dems controlling everything sucky. There should be a balance were all Americans get some representation. It should have never come to an US against THEM like it has.

I saw Mellencamp last year here in Florida. He had 20 minutes of black and white films showing prior to him coming out. It was boring but I knew going in he was tying each black and white film to one of his songs. I knew his songs enough to kind of appreciate what he was doing but would have forgone that if asked. The guy next to me could not contain himself though and started loudly voicing his objection to the point after 10 minutes I asked him to refrain which he did. 30 minutes into the show he was snoring... So I guess he had a time limit and the films were interfering. I like his music, my favorite is Ain't Even Done With the Night... but I have a short fuse on Rock stars that forget who got them there.

Most musical artists peak in their 20s. Once they hit middle age they’re essentially nostalgia acts. So, they start going on about politics to keep themselves relevant. Same with comedians and actors.
