Good point . . . But, nothing and no one is perfect. In the light of lack of perfection, should we then go to the other end of the spectrum? Making statements along the line of the one BW put forth?
At the very least we should respect a man who takes time out of his schedule to give us access to his insights and understanding. Don't you think?

Hey Paul Dillet was the same way. Just because you have alot of veins running through the area where you chest is supposed to be, does that mean you have a decent chest.
If it wasn't for his arms he would barely crack top ten.

i seen a video of him benching three plates a side like paper for about 15 reps as a warm up once...

His front delts and tris were doing 90% of the work. ;D
Some BBers have narrow clavicles. No matter how hard/heavy they train, certain poses are not very flattering. Flex Wheeler also has a narrow chest. Lee and Flex's chest look small/narrow in the most muscular pose and front lat spread.
Lee's arms (great as they may be) are too big for his upper body. His huge arms make his chest look even more narrow. Also, Lee's new shoulder tats make his shoulders look narrow and his arms stand out even more.

Lee's chest is very developed - it's an issue of his skeletal structure. He will never have a wide chest because of his narrow torso.
He looked huge at the Iron Man and I think he blew that Henry guy out of the water. He was just much more impressive because of his shoulders, arms, quads, and vascularity. He deserved the win.

I'd rather have Lee's type of physique (relatively small chest, but big delts and arms) than be the complete opposite and have tiny arms but huge torso. Only a few of the mandatory poses involve chest anyway - more emphasize the arms, shoulders, and legs and that is how you rack up points in a competition.
Also, I don't see the problem in having a relatively long torso - it didn't hurt Shawn Ray and it can help emphasize the legs and make them look thicker. Shorter legs are easier to build mass onto.

I doubt Lee was referencing Americans or any other nationality. I think, and I am only guessing, that he has a problem with people criticizing his physique when they most liking don't even lift and if they do they do not have the body necessary to step onto a bodybuilding stage. People say that Lee, Kevin Levrone, and Flex Wheeler have crappy chests especially when compared to their arms and shoulders. I guess my question is, would you rather have their physique or yours? I realize that nobody's body is perfect but damn people, calm down with the insults unless you have a pro caliber body.

No, bodybuilders are not immune to criticism but idiots saying that a pro bodybuilder is small is stupid. I think if some pencil necked geek was going to make fun of Lee and Ronnie Coleman's physiques then I would say that no, they do not have any place to be making a criticism. It's comparable to one of us saying that a pro baseball player has a poor throwing arm. You are welcome to your opinion but again I think criticzing something that one cannot attain (a pro physique) makes people sound stupid and insecure.

When you take that into account you'll realise that they are trying really hard to be insightful and you're just a hater on their genius

First I was looking through the 1974 page, cause that's when I was born. 2nd I saw who the writer of the tread was, and third I thought members may find it interesting to see how much lee has changed since that post. Good to look back at our roots and know alot of the original writers are still around.
