Jose Canseco, forced to retire from MLB about 15 years ago, still hits the balls beyond 450 feet ...
Jose is 54, but at 6'4" and 255 lbs of muscle he says he can hit a softball further than Rookie star Aaron Judge could hit a baseball (which gets further than softball) and despite that Judge is 30 years his junior !
Judge is 6'7" and is on his way to be named American league rookie of the year despite his power has decreased after the All star break .
WooSHHH TA NA KA
-
Judge's power has not decreased since the all star break.
His pitch selection has been poor, but the power is the same.
And softballs can be hit 450+ with proper equipment.
-
Judge should have sat out the home run derby.
-
Judge's real power is demonstrated by "exit velocity". He hits ropes that are like 15 feet off the ground..... and the ball doesn't stop until it's in the stands. The ball jumps off his bar so fast that the opposing outfielders barely have time to react.

Let's just say he can't see the ball as well as he did before the HR Derby, He's on his way to break the most strikeouts record in a season .

Like Mark Roberts a few years ago for the O's. He had power, but swung at everything.

Jose is desperate for attention.
About 8-10 years ago he thought that he was a tough guy and fought in a MMA fight. He got humiliated in front of the world.

After all the tough talk, Jose got smashed.

He's also a rookie with a 6 WAR / wRC of 172 and an OPS over 1.000. So he can be forgiven for scuffling a bit. The numbers he was putting up were unsustainable.
Oh, and nobody cares about strikeouts when the production is there.

Agreed. Clubs don't care if you hit .200, as long as guys like Chris Carter, Adam Dunn, and Carlos Pena continue to hit 30-40 home runs and 80-100 RBI's a year.
Unfortunately, there seems to be a small window for those types of players.

Hard to believe Canseco and Ronnie Coleman are the Same age.

They were peak year Barry Bonds-esque.
I expected him to drop a bit, but his approach in the second half is a bit more off than expected - he's pressing, you can see it in his pitch selections.

Since All Star break :
172 AVG/ 5 HR/ 40 K
168 AVG/ 5 HR/ 45 K
FIXED
Just 3 Strikeouts away to break the record !!

Tonight, Aaron Judge hit homerun number 50, breaking the number of homeruns hit by a rookie in a season (previously #49 held by Mark McGwire)

I've seen canseco at a couple gyms here in Vegas. Still huge. Definitely skips leg day.
And Was wearing a softball championship tshirt. But good for him living life. Crazy to think at one time he was one of the most popular faces in the country and banging madonna.

Aaron Judge won the AL Rookie of the Year.
He should win MVP too.
He leads Altuve in BB / R / RBI / HR / SLG / OBP / OPS / wOBA / fWAR / wRC+.......but the writers keep harping on Altuve's "consistency" which is something they're making up to give it to the little guy.
Of every single player to play MLB, Judge had the best rookie season ever. His over 120 runs / BB and HR totals have been only done by four players in history.

Aaron Judge rookie of the year and already went under the knife ....surgery on his left shoulder !
"A 6'7" tall outfielder is simply an extra large furniture to have moving around without consequences "
Stick a fork .
Red Sox should take note and see the warnings before getting themselves in to buying 6'6" Jean Carlos Stanton $325,000,000 ... giving contracts over 4 years to guys like that is simply way too risky and "stupid"
WoooSHHHHHHHHHHHHH

It was just clean up surgery. He's fine.
Who the fuck is Jean Carlos?
But, if you're not going to give contracts over four years, you're not going to compete much either.

same thing with stanton... but it has something to do with the ball. You can't seriously think that Stanton and Judge are as strong, fast, and powerful as a juiced up prime Conseco? Guys are hitting the ball way harder and further this year because the balls are harder, nothing to do with power.

The balls may be off this year, due to what we've seen with the amount of HRs.
But of course the harder hit balls have to do with power. Look at the exit velos of Judge / Stanton. They're so far ahead of the others - combined, they have 12 of the hardest 14 balls hit this year. How can that not have anything to do with their power?

Not saying these guys don't have power. They are big boys.... I just think whatever is going on with the ball right now, had a prime Conseco played at this moment in time he would still be hitting the ball harder and further than these guys are at the moment. Also look at all these skinny guys hitting 40 homeruns all of a sudden.

Aaron Judge is genetically superior over Canseco. Deal with it.

Judge is 6'7, weighs 280 and can run. Of out every major leaguer to ever play the game, he had the best rookie season ever (2012 Trout can debate that).
Why would an all drugs ballplayer 42 pounds lighter generate more power?

Your statement has no credibility because EVERYONE is hitting the ball harder and further this year. Its absolutely impossible to draw a comparison. And Conseco was a lot more explosive, the guy was running 6.4 60 yard dashes....

Judge and Stanton's average exit velo in 2017 are down from prior years, as are the longest HRs hit.
http://m.mlb.com/statcast/leaderboard#avg-hit-velo,r,2017
My statement is backed up by the fact that even if you can prove harder hit balls than previous years, Stanton and Judge completely dominate the category regardless. Nobody is doing what they are. Look at the list.
Also, please provide some links to studies that show that a 60 yard dash time translates into hitting baseballs harder. Like, enough to overcome a 40 pound size advantage.
You're just spewing shit with no data behind it. Like when you said you hit a baseball 500 feet, longer than any professional ballplayer in 2015 and 2017, lol.

Jose was only explosive because of steroid abuse. Without the steroids Jose would've weighed around 200lbs

I'm sure Aaron Judge is a pure as the driven snow. 3 inches taller than Jose yet he weighs 280 pounds.

Is it your contention that the 280 pound Aaron Judge is clean?

Kid had a great year. Amazing. Does he have a career? My number 4 jersey says no. I'd love to be proved wrong. And I want to see what Ohtani brings. Let's see. :)

I root for him not just because he's a Yankee but because he seems to be humble and a good dude.
Altuve won the MVP and Judge sent him a message congratulating him telling him he deserved for his year with the Asrros.

Agree. Have even bought a couple of Judge jerseys for X-Mas. As for Altuve, how can you not love a guy who swings from the bottom of his socks? Went with the Astros for the Series. Great baseball.

Jose Canseco once beat up Bill Brasky in a fist fight.

Hard not to like Altuve, but the MVP voting was odd, in the context that most writers were talking about reasons NOT to vote for Judge.
BWAA were sheep this year, voting based on a meme.

Directionally, can’t think of a reason why Ohtani WOULDNT want N.Y. , unless there’s some west coat thing. He almost signed with LA at age 18. It’s not about the money though, so who knows. NY makes atoms of sense from the outside - young team on verge, Yanks beloved in Japan, Tanaka / Matsui, etc...
For manager - hoping Hensley Meulens.

I'm a Ricky fan, but wouldn't say he was clean throughout his entire career.
If Tejada was on something when he won the MVP with the A's you can bet Ricky was on a lot when he broke the SB record with the A's too.
I love how this clowns defend their heroes like " this ones drug free, this one is not". Lol
And I'm a fan of Ricky as well. But I'm Just too old for the " he never touch evil steroids BS "

The make softballs now that can go further than baseballs. Let Aaron Judge hit the same softballs Jose will be using and Judge will crush Jose...
