Florida GOP doctors Trump tweet to solve mail-in voting problem

Republicans privately fear the president is endangering one of the secrets to the party’s success in the nation’s biggest swing state.

we've been doing it fo 150 + years

5 states already send EVERY voter a mail in ballot
Oregon has been doing ALL MAIL in voting for Presidential elections for 20 years

It's not an issue

The only one trying to make it an issue is THE TRAITOR and his traitorous supporters

I believe NJ did a recent all mail in election and there was a problem with 10% of the ballots.

Extrapolate that to 140-150 million nationwide voters.

Not good.

No shit! It seems that voting by mail is a type of IQ test for voters.

About one in every 10 people who mailed in ballots in last month’s special elections had their votes rejected,
which could forebode the potential disenfranchisement of tens of thousands of New Jerseyans in next month’s primaries.

An NJ Spotlight analysis of the vote-by-mail ballots cast in 31 municipalities that held nonpartisan municipal, school
board or special elections on May 12 — an entirely mail-in election — found that election officials did not count 9.6%
of ballots sent in. A database provided by the state Division of Elections shows more than a dozen reasons for rejecting
ballots. Most commonly, officials did not count ballots because the signature on the ballot did not match the one on file,
the ballot arrived too late or the required certificate was not enclosed.

They are antiquated and their name "Progressive" is actually regressive.  If their policies were implemented our country would go to hell in a hand basket.

9.6%...I'm sure other areas would be higher, maybe some lower.  And who selected which votes didn't count? Would be interesting to tally the uncounted votes and se if the percentages were equally dem/rep.

This is my Congressional District. The Primary was June 23 and it’s still not officiial.

A National Presidential Election by mail will be a complete disaster.

A Brief History of Vote By Mail (VBM) in Oregon
History of Vote By Mail in Oregon prior to becoming the first Vote By Mail only state.

1981 - The Oregon Legislature approves a test of vote by mail (VBM) for local elections.

1987 - VBM made permanent; majority of counties use it for local/special elections. June 1993 First special statewide election by mail – 39 percent turnout.

May 1995 - Second special statewide election by mail – 44 percent turnout.

Spring/Summer 1995 - The Oregon Legislature approves a proposal to expand VBM to primary and general elections. The Governor vetoes the bill.

December 1995 - Oregon becomes the first state to conduct a primary election totally by mail to nominate candidates to fill a vacancy in a federal office – 58 percent turnout.

January 1996 - Oregon becomes the first state to conduct a general election totally by mail to fill a vacancy in a federal office when it selects Senator Ron Wyden to replace Bob Packwood – 66 percent turnout.

March 1996 - Oregon holds the country’s second VBM presidential primary. (The first VBM presidential primary was held by North Dakota, just weeks prior to Oregon’s election.) – 58 percent turnout.

May 1997 Sixth special statewide election by mail – 42 percent turnout.

Spring/Summer 1997 - The Oregon House of Representatives approves a proposal to expand VBM to primary and general elections. The bill dies in a Senate committee. The Governor would have signed the bill into law.

November 1997 - Seventh special statewide election by mail – 60 percent turnout.

May 1998 - Primary election at the polls. Forty-one percent of registered voters in Oregon are permanent absentee voters. Overall, the state posts a record low turnout at 35 percent. Absentee ballots represent nearly two-thirds of all ballots cast; Oregon becomes the first state to have more ballots cast by mail than at the polls during a polling place election. Absentee voter turnout was 53 percent, compared to a turnout at the polls of 22 percent.

June 1998 - Supporters of expanding VBM to primary and general elections use the initiative to put the issue on the November general election ballot. No paid signature gatherers were used to put the measure on the ballot – a first since 1994.

November 3, 1998 - Oregon voters decide to expand VBM to primary and general elections by a vote of 757,204 to 334,021.

November 2, 1999 - Eighth special statewide election by mail - 38 percent turnout.
Statewide Turnout 2000 - 2005 after Oregon became Vote By Mail only state

May 2000 - Presidential Primary election VBM - 51 percent turnout.
November 2000 - First VBM Presidential General election - 79 percent turnout.
May 2002 - Primary election VBM - 46 percent turnout.
September - 2002 Special election for two statewide measures VBM - 44 percent turnout.
November 2002 General election VBM - 69 percent turnout.
January 2003 Special election for a statewide measure VBM - 66 percent turnout.
September 2003 Special election for a statewide measure VBM - 35 percent turnout.
February 2004 Special election for a statewide measure VBM - 63 percent turnout.
May 2004 Presidential Primary election VBM - 46 percent turnout.
November 2004 Presidential General election VBM. Voter registration exceeds 2 million - 86 percent turnout.

No, Fraud Isn’t Rampant in Colorado’s Mail-In Voting System
President Donald Trump has cited security concerns for why widespread mail-in voting doesn't work. But the Centennial State has proven that, with the right system in place, fraud can be prevented and turnout can soar.

BY SHANE MONAGHAN •  MAY 1, 2020

Colorado is one of just five states that sends a ballot to every registered voter by mail, and if the success of our elections is any proof, Trump’s assertions don’t have much merit. “Mail-in voting is safe if you have the proper processes in place,” says Wayne Williams, who helped refine Colorado’s mail-in voting initiative while he was secretary of state from 2015 to 2019. “Our state’s system is an example of how things can be kept secure.”

All-Mail Elections (aka Vote-By-Mail)

Five states currently conduct all elections entirely by mail: Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington and Utah. At least 21 other states have laws that allow certain smaller elections, such as school board contests, to be conducted by mail. For these elections, all registered voters receive a ballot in the mail. The voter marks the ballot, puts it in a secrecy envelope or sleeve and then into a separate mailing envelope, signs an affidavit on the exterior of the mailing envelope, and returns the package via mail or by dropping it off.

Vote by mail logoBallots are mailed out well ahead of Election Day, and thus voters have an “election period,” not just a single day, to vote. All-mail elections can be thought of as absentee voting for everyone. This system is also referred to as “vote by mail.”

Mail in votes, Abolish the electoral college, release convicts, wants to make that all illegals can vote.

If the Presidential race is close and we mail in vote (that can’t be verified) the counts and recounts will go on forever...Abrams in Florida was a prime example and it wasn’t even a presidential race....and it wasn’t even close

It sure would be a disaster and would take months or years to declare a winner.  If people are too lazy to get off their asses and vote then they don't need to vote.

The democrats would whine about that too.  If Trump wins or there is any delay in election results the libs will complain that Trump is being a dictator.  They can never accept their party being turned down by voters.
