I didn't even know he was doing that. So many Canadian politicians were caught travelling that it became a complete joke at some point.

They’re all hypocrites, like most of us.

Having said this, politics, as a career, largely attracts hyper-arrogant, self-serving and low-intellect individuals.

Look at Justin Castro. Perfect example.

As I’ve said, anyone with an ounce of smarts and critical thinking now knows government is enemy.

Pretty accurate.

I like some of his policy, but overall he's a nutjob like all the others.

I don't have any issues with it since he wanted to spend time with his kids. It's not like he was golfing in Florida by himself.

They work mobile most of the time anyway. If he has a phone and a computer he can do his job.

None of the issues in Texas right now have anything to do with him or policy. He can't change anything.

For such a smart guy he was totally tone deaf.  I hope his opponent runs commercials against him with video of him in the airport during the crisis with some nasty commentary.

Tone deaf vs a socialist platform, pretty sure he'll be okay.

Not so sure. It was close last time, and Texas is rapidly evolving. It will depend on overall conditions in US. Few people like him. Did not know he was so fat.

Texas and Mexico touch each other. You could have one foot in Texas and one foot in Mexico.  Why should three inches of snow prevent someone from crossing the border.  It's thirty-two degrees in Dallas.  Why is that a crisis that should prevent people from traveling?

Should thee inches of snow in Canada prevent someone from crossing the border to America?  What's the problem?

Cancun is a bit further away than Del Rio or Juarez. But i get your point.

Most people in Austin are without power and water. Cruz can't even work from his office anyway.

Now he's going to sit at home with his generator and work from a laptop, so hopefully everyone's little feelings get better.

A lot of Texans are big vaginas about snow/ice because they never experience it. Most people are claiming they are "stranded" at home, while others are driving around like normal people and making the best of what they can.

It's much colder and icier where i am, but we understand how to deal with it even when the power goes out.

I've lived in the North and in Texas and other Southern states, so understand all sides of the situation.  People in the South never see snow and don't have the equipment, so it's complete chaos if they get an inch.  It's snowed three times in the last two weeks where I'm at and so impressed with how well they've plowed the streets.

Two inches in the South............

Yeah they don't know how to drive in it and don't have road maintenance equipment.

We've had 20" of snow where i live in the last two weeks. Roads are fine.

Most of my family is in Austin and Houston. They are complaining about being stranded and i'm driving around the icy mountain roads of northern New Mexico. Just have to know how to manage it. Plus having AWD and the right tires helps a lot.

When i lived in Houston they would shut the entire City down if they got any snow/ice. It was hilarious, but i understand why.

I work in utilities, it’s been pretty crazy. I lucked out because I have some plumbing knowledge and was able to prepare and keep my water going and also my home is on the same power grid as a major hospital.  So even though works been rough I’ve had power and water through the whole ordeal.  Driving in it, I lived in North Chicago from 97-99 so it hasn’t been much of an issue.

As Ive said I dont know squat about US politics, but this guy goes on vacation with his family to Mexico in the middle of a crisis where his state is in a deepfreeze? I sincerely hope someone feeds him his teeth. What a bitch

Cruz is in the Senate, and deals with Federal not local laws.  If the Governor of Texas was doing traveling during this I could see your point, but he hasn't to my knowledge.  I am in the midwest.....grew up in WI, so I dealt with the type of weather you deal with in Canada.  I received an email from our power company here on the 10th saying they were going to do rolling blackouts on the 10th.

I've never heard of such a thing in the midwest in 47 years of my life.  Come to find out that it's because we are relying on more wind and solar energy, and they were not working.  We have a dickhead in chief that doesn't think about anything he signs.  Killing the Keystone Pipeline immediately killed 10,000 plus jobs the minute he signed, but it has a much bigger  impact than that.  For one the goal of the pipeline was that it was net zero emissions which is what the left says they want.  Gas prirces here went up $.60/gallon within a week of him signing that EO.  What's not talked about is all the steel workers who will be affected producing the pipeline materials, truckers that transport it, and whoever else down the supply chain is effected.  Bottom line is it's way more than 10,000 jobs, and those jobs paid an average of $85K/ per year.  This dickwad is now letting in 25K illegal immagrants that he says will get get Medicare for free.......and many other benefits.  So he is killing the tax base, and adding additional costs to services that legal Americans pay into.   Makes NO FUCKING SENSE!!!!

The $15 minimum wage that he wants to sign has repeadelly been said to cost 1.4 billion jobs, but again experts say that's just at the bottom level....travel, lodging, restaurants, etc.  What they are missing is that those industries are the biggest purchasers of napkins, other paper products, and sanitizing supplies.  These are all transported via truking and raliroad so estimates are more like 5 billion jobs gone...........again less taxes coming in while we are going to give free health care to illiegals in the hopes they will ILLEGALY vote by mail with no proof of citizenship or regeristing like the past election (plenty of proof it happened, tut dumbfucks that watch MSM don't see it as it's suppressed just like Hunter's Laptop and misdeeds)

Add in all the anti gun laws that are being put into action, and we are about to become a third world nation/banana republic.  AR DOES NOT stand for automatic rifle or assault rifle, but are politicians are to lazy to go to wikipedia and spend two minutes learning it AR is the initials of the guy that designed it.  It's not automatic, and it had nothing to do with Columbine.  Knife killings will go up, and violence overall already has in cities where weapons are harder to get.  Where I live, the only gun violence is in the Mexican and black part of the area.  Very little happens in the suburbs as those dipshipts are at least smart enough to know we are mostly conservative, pro gun, and won'tt think twice about blowing them away the second they bust though our doors or are standing behind them in line at a convenience store they are trying to rob to protect the poor guy/gal working for $10/an hour and other customers.   It just doesn't happen here,  and legal gun ownership/conceal and carry laws are the reason.  I've written a lot, but I could go on and on about other things.  Joe Biden and his family are crooked fucks and should be convicted of treason.  Same with Obama, Hillary, and Bill.  Obama is on tape saying he wished he could have a third term where he just sat in sweatpants in his basement and told the "President" what to say/do.  Mission accomplished.  And you people wonder why Trump said Joe should be check for an earpiece during the debates, and Joe's team fought like hell against it

I don't think America will ever be the same after this administration, and the lefttists are going to be the ones crying the most.  For fuck sake, they got Gina Carano cancelled.....so they think, for posting truth about how Germany got to where it was if your neighbor was a Jew, and you didn't help beat them down.  It wasn't anti-semitic, it was pointing out the fact that we are attacking/cancelling/killing/beating up others over stupid shit that doesn't matter

Matt Canning like rant over.  Sorry, but I've had enough of this shit and needed to vent :'(
