 vegetables that are high fiber reduces the amount of FAT calories that your body absorbs from a meal...but it has the opposite effect on proteins, and doesnt effect carbohydrates at all.  this is because carbohydrates and proteins digest quickly enough to be fully absorbed before the fiber pushes them through the intestinal tract..but fats take a very long time to digest and normally sit in the intestinal tract for hours on end being slowly absorbed...eat a high fiber meal and it will bind to the fat molecules and carry them away before they are absorbed.  the reason you get more protein calories is because most proteins today are lacking in the necessary vitamins and minerals necessary for proper digestion(not enough digestive enzymes are cued for the breakdown of the proteins), and high fiber veggies contain a surplus of vitamins and minerals that cue for an extra amount of enzymes to the digestive tract....thus filling in those gaps where the protein was lacking in enzymes.   






and daddy waddy...you are correct, but incorrect, about the veggies slowing down your metabolism...they have been shown to reduce thyroid activity..but it is VERY minimal, and the "negative calorie" effect of certain veggies like broccoli and cauliflower will fully negate that... and you are wise to say that iodine supplementation would be needed..not many know about iodines role in thyroid function. BUT, not many know that iodine is present in whole eggs...40% of rda in one egg.   and who only eats just ONE egg? lol..   i am at at least 12 eggs a day..

6 egg whites + animal pack
train(took 20 grams of bcaa's before/during/after training)
6 eggs + broccoli
steak salad
3 whole eggs can of tuna
1 chicken breast
2 chicken breasts+broccoli+baked eggplant
2 salmon/broccoli/hot sauce tacos on low carb tortillas

That's it so far but I'm going out to dinner with my family in about an hour.

'cooked' eggs are very acidic

raw eggs would be a better choice, they are highly alkaline

but then again 1 table spoon of bakingsoda will make your whole system alkaline

shiiiiiitttt    i didnt know that. but veggies will convert the body to alkaline as well.

i know that eggs are much better raw for you for plenty of other reasons though....the only reason i dont consume them that way is because i am such a HUNGRY person..that i have got to eat. i coudlnt drink my calories..ill just end up consuming way too much later on.

2 scoops UMP (Beverly Int. Ultimate Muscle Protein) Cookies and Cream + 20 oz water

That was 2 protein bars, 6 egg whites cheese and mushrooms, a double cheeseburger no fries, 3 chicken enchiladas rice and beans, lasagna, 2 glasses of wine,  3 chicken breasts, and a sopilla....and I'm dieting and have six-pack abs...what did you eat???? (It was a cheat meal day)

Seriously? I've never seen the Label on Milos' "snake oil". I do know Surge is a hell of alot cheaper and just as good. At Large Nutrition has a great recovery suppliment as well (can't remember the name of it) but I want to try it.

I'm just wondering why you guys bother with all those supplements and protein shakes etc...I don't use any of that stuff, and in fact tried to give my stuff away that a show sponsor gave me...Most of it just gives you very expensive urine...
