Anybody know how to get around work filters. Fucking sucks that they just changed our filter and everytime I try to look at a hot chick I get the anoying ass this is blocked due to mature content bullshit. >:(

Okay, that's why I asked for help from a computer geek, but can you explain in leyman terms what exactly that is?

One word of caution: if they are inclined to do so your employer can legally and technically monitor the sites you surf to (or try to surf to) and call you on it. You could be reprimanded or discharged over this. Not everyone works in a Gestapo environment but some people have been surprised to learn that they do. One potential way around this is to surf with your own personal laptop/iphone etc. and connect to a server that is not operated by your employer. In any case, surf with caution.

Thanks for the advice, but really my work is horribly run, and even if I did get in trouble I only work part time anyway while in nursing school, so if they fired me wouldn't be the end of the world. Every few months the different departments try to act like their working by implementing new "rules", shit last about 3-4 weeks and then the keys to the zoo gets turned back over to the monkeys. It's a long saturday when I can't watch One Night in Paris while eating my Subway ;D

I wouldn't surf the web on your work network, as a rule of thumb assume that everything is being monitored and logged.

Use remote desktop to connect to your home PC. This way it will be like surfing the web at home.

Haven't had to do that yet, but actually I plan to get my masters and be a nurse practicioner, basically a bootleg dr, still make 6 figures, so not a bad gig at all!

both, I answer the phone and take orders, pretty easy to do both at same time, don't have any other duties besides that, sometimes phone doesn't ring for 10-15 minutes
