You think that if ANYONE publicly referred to Obama or his wife or kids as ghetto thugs that it would not beconstrued as racism and rightly so.  

We agree.  Although there are plenty of people who take racism whistle blowing too far, so I am sure there are people out there who think any criticism or name calling of OB is racist. 

Just look at poeple who think all people in this country should speak English as something that is racist which is absurd.

most people who have read my posts on this board know that I am pretty even handed, don't go around gratuitously attacking people or even calling them a liar when they say something that is factually inaccurate.  If I challenge something that someone has said I always back it up and don't usually use inflammatory language

There are some people on this board that are blatant liars and racists (and even gladly admit to being racist) and I'm not going to coddle them or suggest they "might not be accurate", etc.. I'm going to call them a liar and a bigot

It's not really semantics.  There a big difference.

If I called you a liar I am attacking you personally giving you a label.

Yep and all those examples are subject to personal opinion and judgement, open for debate, unless they are extreme and blatant.
