Training around AC joint pain
« on: October 31, 2015, 06:44:06 AM »
Anyone out there managed to do this successfully? I've been putting up with nagging pain in my right shoulder for a few weeks now but right now I really need to/want to keep training. I can stop in the middle of december, but before that I'd prefer to not take any time off unless I absolutely have to.

Have any of you guys worked around AC joint pain successfully?

Can work around with neutral grips and only bending elbows 45 degrees max on presses.

But it doesn't fix it  - eventually i went the surgery route on both.

But what I've really found effective is to switch training - if the injury is minor, stop using the shoulder, and concentrate on running, conditioning, etc....it's not like anyone is training for the olympia or anything.  You can always switch back after it heals.
