Chris is back and looking good.

Chris is here in Melbourne supporting my pro show. He looks good, healthy and happy. I will interview him tomorrow about his future plans. The interview will be up on youtube soon. Chris is great to have around when the show is on, there a plenty that could learn from him. What alot of you don't realise is that Chris is a true fan of the sport, He has been around long enough to see it all happen. I wish him every success for the future.

BTW, Chris Cormier makes a great Bodybuilding MC, he and Tony "messiahofmuscle" Doherty formed a great team at the Aus GP... They had the sell out crowd in stiches.

Cormier really is a sad [if perhaps not finally tragic] story.
I mean, all of us here who aren't Olympia caliber bodybuilders [and you know who you are :)], will enter old age knowing that, in the end, we - like Chris - never committed to our most important thing (whatever it was) absolutely 100%. We weren't gamblers enough at heart to truly bet it all.
The difference is that what we cheated ourselves out of the possibility of was relatively modest. A profitable business, maybe. At most, a large loving family.
What Chris cheated himself out of the possibility of was being the acknowledged world champion in his field. [No need to strike the "it's not a sport!" nerve just now.]
That, as Jerry Seinfeld would say, is one giant matzoh ball.

I agree with that mostly, placing myself humbly into that scenario to some degree.
But he will go down as a champion.
What is AMAZING about CC and the few with his type of genetics, is that he can go a year without training...then train 3 months and be contest ready. The amazing muscle memory, the amazing AAS receptors, etc.

True, everyone will be quick to say it's the drugs, however genetics is the key role. Most people could take 3K worth of gear a month and gain 7 to 8 lbs. Most Pro BB's respond better to drugs than the regular joe. Hell it even seems that some pros can grow just by looking at the weights.

Chris was really cool the whole weekend. He made plenty of time to talk and have photos taken with fans.. he represented really well..
