Title: How come pro bodybuilders don't have bad skin?
Post by: Method101 on July 09, 2009, 01:41:21 AM
Look at the IFBB pros.. none of them have any spots/acne and most of them look like they have healthy skin. Thats suprising when you consider the amounts of drugs they are taking.

Are they all on Accutane? lol.

good question.

because acne occurs for steroids

most of the time

but this is because of hormonal fluctuations and imbalances.

the fact that the majority of pros have clear sking, is a testament to the fact that the majority of pros have been on a steady dose of steroids for quite some time. if they were cycling on and off throughout the year, most of them would get horrible acne from the fluctuations and imbalances in hormones that would occur.

genetics juts like everything else , same reason why some guys lose their hair on gear and others like Ronnie can grow a full head at will

agree, bad skin and thining of hair means you are also having sides effects on the inside, and are not cut out to be pro...This seems to be pretty consistent observation.

Bad skin, boils and acne seem to go with most chemical engineered Pro's. Some workout cloths have been know to have stains on them, during and after workouts, from skin problems. And that's just the female BB'ers. Looking at the women close, up a lot look like 40 miles of bad road. All the chemical used can give off a very bad smell to some of them. Plenty of soap and hot water or not.

Under the lights or photo shoots, whole body makeup (including blended oils) is used heavily. Pic's are air brushed also.

Accutane is terrible but it works! I used steroids when i was 20 and i had backne. I had to sign all these papers saying that if i killed myself that my parents would not sue who ever made the drug. I had to use Cam lotion and some special soap bar and my skin would constantly peel and forget getting in the sun  >:( I would hang my arm out the window while driving and it would start peeling  >:( Even my G/F at that time hated it because my lips were always peeling off.

But not always. I guess he cycles on and off the Accutane when his liver enzyme levels break out sky high. ;)

I was told that i could only use it for 3 months and i had to cycle it because it was so bad on my Liver and Kidneys  >:( It was so long ago but i remember the pills were yellow and they felt like a Jelly bean! So, three months turned into six months  >:( I carried a wet rag around with me just to wipe my lips off  >:( I stay as tan as possible but when i had to stay out of the sun....my back looked like a Papa John's Pizza.

wtf is wrong with you, are you black or somthing? if not why are you obsessed with altering your natural skin color.

Wolf is clearly a proud aryan who has no desire to change the color of his skin.

Melvin Anthony told me that he drinks 12oz of apple cider vinegar per day to keep his complexion clear.

Something about balancing the bodies PH
