Yep, it fit his life very well.  Helped open up his stuff to a whole new generation too.

yeah when you read about his life and then watch the video, I don't think it will ever be matched...Just unfucking believeable that someone could put something together like that and capture his whole life in less then 4 minutes...He died not long after making the video i hear...What a way to go out...

Cash certainly did everything on his terms.  Sad that musicians don't really do that much anymore.  I think there is potential though, if they are smart enough to "release" stuff via the net instead of signing long term record deals.  No reason an artist can't have their own label now.  No matter what type of music.

techno viking, i think i prefer The Album Leaf.  I think it's sigur ros, but they actually sing in english.

also, this whole week i've been listening to Captain Beefheart's Trout Mask Replica, trying to hear the "magic" in it.  It's just not getting through.  I think it sucks shit.

also, you geeks may know about this already, but if you go to pandora.com and type in an artist you like, it keeps playing music that would suit your taste based on your preference.  it's hit or miss, but you get to find out about music you never heard about before.
