it plays fine for me

do a hash check, maybe you lost some bytes somewhere.

k-lite mega pack didnt work still no sound..
i dont want to use vlc.. i want to convert the file and out it on my ipod but i dont want to d so till im sure i have sound

For me neither - the soundstream is missing - tried demuxing it, extracting with vdub... I miss Jay Moore's intellectual remarks

i don't understand why then as it works fine for me.

you must have a different audio decoder selected. try ffshow audio decoder. vlc uses ffshow
