Only interested in seeing Big Ramy's conditioning. Couldn't care less about this show otherwise. Was hoping for a Ramy/Khan showdown.

If Victor comes looking like he did the year he came third at Mr O no one can touch him the line up is weak.

Yeah, I don't see anyone beating him. Too bad he was never able to get his conditioning to Olympia level. He would have beat Heath and Kai.

I HOPE Antoine doesn't do well as a pro.

He's my current favorite pro. Him placing well will mean he either sells his soul to the devil and gets involves in shady IFBB shit, or he tries to play the mass game and ruins his fkn brilliant lines.

it's the closest show to me in terms of distance on the east coast...it's only a 3hr drive to New York, but, year by year, I'm loosing interest in it......it's just not the same vibe anymore....I was hoping maybe in the long run it would retain a quarter of the Ambience of what the "Night of Champions" used to be, but, since it became the New York Pro 10yrs ago, this once Great show became lamer every year......... the Craziest bodybuilding show I've walked into in New york City was Night of Champions 2001 at the Beacon theatre...lol...loved that venue......the Ambience, the Vibes, the Crazy Fans.....oh my, you got your money's worth. it was a New York thing....lol....Wayne Demilia did fucking Great with this show.......for some reason, after Demilia left, everything in that show left with him too.....

I think he will be top 3 . Aaron Clark is now doing the 212 class. Clark could be second behind Sami, hopefully they don't give it to Kevin English.

I would love to see how he would do in the open class bc of his conditioning and shape, but he may be too small. NY likes the big guys. He needs to do another show in the open.

I'm with you but he was told by Fak that he would likely not be called out in the open due to his weight (that was communicated to Fak by IFBB). He was 216 last night pretty shredded.  IFBB is controlling all the shots so Aaron in his pro debut is taking no chances.

IFBB politics at work.

I've been following him since I started BBing 6 years ago! Dude is the same age as me and has several times made me reevaluate why I put so much effort into this hobby when a freak like this has so much greater "natural" ability. Truly a killer physique  8)

isn't the NY Pro the 3rd largest show, so they want a brand name champ too?  vic doesn't have to be on to beat that no name line up.

The two with the most potential. Delarose has a good shape, would be interesting to see how he pans out in the long run. Clarence DeVis is like Kai light...maybe he might get into decent shape this time.

I don't know where you guys have been but this show is shaping up to be the best of the year besides the Olympia. Rami is huge and shredded, cedric is coming back to defend his title. Aaron Clark will make an impact. Victor is back, Morel is a contender. Delarosa is a solid bodybuilder. This is the new up and comers of the ifbb, the only big names left that you would know are Heath, Jackson, Kai, Cutler, Wolf. They are all prepping for the O. This is gonna be a great show.

You must be a Pro with a gimmick.  There's nothing interesting about those guys to keep track of.   Any of them have a video like Shawn Ray's Inside and Out ???  Show would be better off with zack khan winning it, since he is at least dynamic and fun to track back in Merry Ole England.

Bbing has very few personalities now.

Should be interesting.  At this contest with this lineup, you never know who is going to do well.  Some of the mens bodybuilding competitors are quieter but can come in top shape.

Total IFBB Pros competing in NY - 130 (all contests).

I won't be at that contest.  I will be in California for the NPC/IFBB California in Culver City.  But in each lineup, you always have some good competitors and some 'not so good' ones. Obviously, the best bodybuilders are waiting for the Olympia this year, so the potential to find a rising star is good.

I didn't have the Ironman / Flex Pro this year, as that was usually the first show where we saw new faces.

Hey Ron I thought the new system implemented was supposed to prevent the top pros from sitting out the entire year and to actually compete?

Here's how I'd like it to go and how I think it will actually go. You know, I have my favorites, but my opinion counts for jack.

Men's Open
I'd like:
1) juan morel 2) jon delarosa 3) ramy 4) cedric 5) antoine (note: I actually don't give a shit how Antoine places. I just want to ask him how to say "hot beef injection" in french. Or maybe French Sign Language, since it's nearly impossible to say that phrase with your mouth full. Either way, fuck a trophy. Vaillant could have this chocolate bunny as his prize...)

We'll get:
1) morel 2) victor 3) cedric 4) ramy 5) champagnie/keith williams

212 & Under
I'd like:
1) aaron clark 2) Sami Al Haddad 3) Myoba Edwards 4) marco rivera 5) Al Auguste

We'll get:
1) aaron clark 2) kevin english 3) Marco Rivera 4) Sami Al Haddad 5) Branden Ray

Men's Physique
I'd like:
1) Anton Antipov

We'll get:
1) wet.

Women's Physique
I'd like:
1)Juliana Malacarne 2) Teresita Morales 3) Karina Nascimento 4) Toni West 5) Jillian Reville

We'll get:
1) Juliana 2) Karina 3) Toni West 4) Teresita 5) Joele Smith

Figure
I'd like:
1) Candice keene 2) corinna booth 3) Andrea cantone 4) nicole wilkins 5) Swann cardot

We'll freaking GET:
1) wilkins 2) keene 3) monica specking 4) Andrea Cantone 5) Corinna Booth

Bikini
I'd like:
1) Yarelis Gonzalez

We'll get:
1) Maybe the faint whisper of Yarelis passing gas in the hallway, but not much else.

You must be a Pro with a gimmick.  here's nothing interesting about those guys to keep track of.   Any of them have a video like Shawn Ray's Inside and Out ???  Show would be better off with zack khan winning it, since he is at least dynamic and fun to track back in Merry Ole England.

Bbing has very few personalities now.
hi i am fan of zak khan too but by no means he is a show winner.lucky if he made top 6 in this line up.you and him both need realitycheck.

He could win Toronto. Who's gonna beat him? Fouad or Frank McGrath? not much of a win to be bragging about but ZKK could take that one with ease, all the while selling 40k worth of merchandise at the big ass expo.

I would be inclined to agree with you (see:  what I'd LIKE),  but I think in NEW YORK,  it's very likely that Marco will come in good enough to get the nod.  outside  of new York,  definitely less likely.   Same way English wins shows, despite being gnarly, unbalanced,  and not all that impressive (especially compared to Sami.)  BUT TO BE CLEAR, I THINK MARCO LOOKS WAY BETTER THAN ENGLISH AND IS QUITE IMPRESSIVE.  But no,  he's no Sami.

Also,  Maria Luisa  Baeza Diaz  has been added to the figure lineup,  and I'd much rather see her take 5th  than Swann.  In fact, I think she may get it!

first thing first...can he ever make it to the stage big ? mark.i love his freaky size and the amount of weight he lifts but i really doubt his ability to come in shredded on stage if he ever could.the biggest guy in industry is Ramy right now.you will see what happened to him when he hit NY stage.looking freaky in gym and looking and lifting tons of weights help you sell yourself with young dumb crowd.looking good on stage is totally different ball game.most of insulin monsters failed miserably on stage in past.

i'm aware it took Khan like 3/4 of a decade to turn pro, and he's never been known for conditioning. The fact is Toronto is a really really poor lineup and he might have been able to steal it even being off. no other show this year I think will be this weak.

and if Ramy comes in peeled, holy fuck, that's the end of ZKK.

Fouad is taking the Toronto show and Zack would get smoked by Fouad. Zack was the same size as he was in his amateur days and he was not impressive in contest shape, truth is he is a shitty bodybuilder has not beat anyone.

I think he just comes off as a dick in his vids I've seen. Doesn't mean he really is though. I also think Antoine Vaillant is a weird guy.

Pros I like:
Coleman
Cutler
Greene
Jose Raymond (in interviews he seems cool)
Kim Kold
Chris Cormier

I do think ZKK if he was peeled and tapered his waist would be a force. Ramy seems to be the endgame of what ZKK was hyped to be. Should be a decent enough show. I might run up to Toronto and see the expo there and maybe I'll run into Fouad and meeting him in person might change my perception of him.

I could not agree more with the post " the Punisher " said ...... Wayne Demilla knew how to put an awesome show ..... every year I looked forward to going to that show ..... I used to go to almost every one of them .... I saw all of the greats back then ..... Berry Demey . Mike Christian, Lee Haney. Samir Bannout, Ron Love, Lee Labrada, Albert Beckles, Robby Robinson, Gary Strydom, etc. ...... I even went to the ones that were held at the Town hall theater ........ unfortunately those days are gone and so is that atmosphere that the show brought to the big apple ...... one of the best parts of the show was actually waiting outside on the sidewalk to see all your BB idols whether they were competing or just being a spectator ... that show drew a lot of top names in the industry ........ Never knew Wayne back then, but ended up knowing him when he tried starting the PDI organization ........ very nice guy ...... I tip my hat off to Wayne and Charles ..... next to the Olympia and the Arnold ..... the NOC was right up there !!!!!  just my 2 cents

Actually, though Sammi really did look great, I had Aaron Clark winning the show. Just as conditioned as Sammi, but WAY more muscle. Sammi alone wins EVERY show EVERYWHERE. Sammi next to Clark was outsized in the quads, hams, and glutes. I thought Aaron should have gotten first, Sammi second, and Jose third.
Now the real question is WHERE THE FUCK WAS ENGLISH? When did homeboy back out of the show? And WHY (or at least what reason is he GIVING, if any)? Isn't there an IFBB penalty for that?

you just a white boy lover.clark is grossly over rated.212lb and looked small compare to sami and jose.where he is gonna go.end of story.you will find out in few more shows.dugdale deserved 3rd.close call between sami and jose could have gone either way.from pics and movie i had jose winning.he was denser dryer and shredded compare to sami.looks like sami put on some new muscle so was not as tight as he was last year.looks great anyway actually this is first time sami impressed me.

sammi as great as he looks and he does is almost too tall for 212 and too small for open in terms of overall body mass /size.raymond is very short next to him which he is but has compact, dense look and no not pretty but he outmuscles sammi in some poses, sammi has long torso and its apparent in some poses .he would have to be 220/230 at his height to do damage in open, sammi has great build, full bellies ,he's stuck in between.daremm charles was good example 5'9 guy who in open class had to get bigger each yr to get into the smaller shows placing's,sammi could that but who knows.
