Yeah, its pretty good. I don't think it has aged as well as other movies from that period however. That being said, I don't think it is that much better than Casino or Goodfellas.

with your lack of brain power it's probably hard for you to pay attention to a 3 hour long movie :)

great story
great acting

I don't consider it the best ever but it's close

no movie in the future will ever come close

Probably Gladiator(I am assuming you don't want to hear me say Rocky Balboa), but it was no Forrest Gump. I don't think the Godfather was as good as Forrest Gump tbh.

well even though is loosely based on one of the original godfather's of the 5 families it is a top 5 of all time, and godfather 2 is even better and it captured the early time's in nyc when italian immigrant's came over, they even recreated the italian festival's which honor the saint's which some parts of nyc still do today.every actor was either new,or veteran and hit their characters with conviction.some italian mobster's and mob historian's say these film's almost hit home a little to real.they are a must see at least once a year.

There are Italian festivals many organized by the Church during summer in the Bronx, Manhattan and mostly in Brooklyn.

san gennaro, our lady of mt carmel, which parades the "gilio' thru the streets and many generations of families hold honor in carrying it,an actual band plays on it and the statue is placed on it and carried by a group at a time it's a sight see.

Danielson is wrong this time.  I watched The Godfather last week and did not think it had aged at all.  It was set in another time than when they made it, and period pieces tend to age better.  I think most 70s movies suck in general.  You can tell that much more planning was involved than Casino or Goodfellas (though I still love those as well).

The flashback scenes and the stuff in Cuba I thought were exceptionally well done in Godfather II.
