Ernie was a class act from everybody I've heard mention him.  What an athlete.

JYD....quite a character from what I've read.  Thunderbolt wrestled quite a bit in the mid-atlantic before my time.

I herd that he did not know how to keep his mouth shut.  I think WWF had big plans for him but he left and went to WCW and they did nothing with him.  That happend to a lot of guys, then they were stuck there because of their contract.      Tom was good partners with Rick Martel  The Can-am Conection

I thought Martel made a decent AWA champ back in the day, but Stan took the title by submission...ouch!  He must have ticked off Gagne.

Yeah you can't say anything bad about Honky. He was all around a great entertainer. Arguably the greatest IC champ ever.

hahaha he was such a dick. He played that character perfectly, his ring psychology more than made up for his lack of in ring ability.

No, I helped my dad at a school for a while that belonged to a friend of his.  I know how to work but have never had a match.  My brother works for a Indy Promotion he does the Tv Commentary and a little managing.

The whole thing. His hair, mic skills, acting like he was a recording artist, and hitting people with the guitar. As well as Jimmy Heart. The guy was one of the great ones.

I miss the period of like 87-92. The golden age IMO. 93-96 sucked, then the Monday Night Wars and Attitude era was great and it started dropping off after 2002.

I totally agree. I think that's why this thread has been so cool.

but the brett "the hit man" hart was greatest wrestler not for talking but for pure wrestling entertainment

"i am the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be"   greatest line in history

The Brett 'The Hit Man' Hart and Shawn Michaels matches were my favourites.
There really was some bad blood between them....
