They won't get $700 if your boy Cruz has his way.  Seems to have a record for voting against aid going to other states after natural disasters.

You do realize that the one-time $700 payment is the standard amount paid to individual victims of these disasters. For example, this was the amount paid to each household for hurricane Ian. "FEMA approved Critical Needs Assistance for disaster survivors with immediate or critical needs because they are displaced from their primary dwelling. Immediate or critical needs are life-saving and life-sustaining items. This assistance is a one-time payment of $700 per household." https://www.fema.gov/press-release/20221011/fema-provides-over-210-million-hurricane-ian-survivors#:~:text=FEMA%20approved%20Critical%20Needs%20Assistance,payment%20of%20%24700%20per%20household.

People besides those directly impacted probably don't know about this small payment. I believe FEMA answers directly to the President.

Why do I suspect if the amount was $7,000 or $70,000 you gripe about it being too much and blame that on Biden.

Even so, it's nothing the president should be talking about like it's going to make any kind of difference.  Your house and business burned to the ground.  Your family was burned alive.  Here is $700.

President :  "Let's give some money to..."

Trumpturds : "Noooo!!  We should be spending the money on our vets, the homeless, and our own citizens!!!"

President :  "Ok, we will spend all the money on our vets, our homeless, and own citizens instead."

Trumpturds : " NOOO!!!!  THAT'S SOCIALISM!!!"

I agree. It barely buys a family a week’s groceries these days. If he clarified that it was the standard FEMA payout to families in these situations, it might have gone over better. Still, $700 is better than nothing, I guess.

What I do not get is the 'damned if you do and damned if you don't' philosophy. Conservatives are all up in liberals faces about government’s social programs and spending on them, yet in cases like these where the money going to the people (socialized) seems is too little they (you and Coach for example) and the first to complain about that.

It reminds me of some conservative folks I personally know who adamantly demand smaller government and less social spending, yet they are first in line for government handouts. These same folks were totally against Obamacare and yet they enjoy free benefits with The Oregon Health Plan (OHP) which is health insurance for low-income people. Additionally, they are the people in front of you at the at the grocery checkout using SNAP benefits and their EBT card to pay for the groceries to stock their pantries.

I'm not in anyone's face about anything, but I do have a problem with wasteful government spending.  But that doesn't have anything to do with these $700 payments.  Trying to compare disaster relief to welfare payments is pretty absurd.

He stated a fact.. I can understand you were thrown off by the memes verbiage. No where did he state;

Campaign finance: "I think nobody knows more about campaign finance than I do, because I'm the biggest contributor.

ISIS: "I know more about ISIS than the generals do."

Courts: "I know more about courts than any human being on Earth."

Politicians: "I understand politicians better than anybody."

Trade: "Nobody knows more about trade than me."

Renewable energy: "I know more about renewables than any human being on Earth."

Taxes: "I think nobody knows more about taxes than I do, maybe in the history of the world.

Drones: "I know more about drones than anybody. I know about every form of safety that you can have

After all those years of Trump bragging, I think you guys have actually lost sight of what bragging is.. No where would I find a post from you guys calling Trump out on clearly bragging, but here you are claiming that meme from Biden is bragging. If this doesn't shame your sense of right and wrong, there is no hope. FFS

You make a valid point. Many here will post on something without having any facts. I didn't know there was a $700 limit until reading your post. I assume that is just the beginning. But I do understand there are limits to initial payments.

It underscores the uninformed " But millions to Ukraine" crowds illiteracy. Can we all agree to spend 5 minutes before throwing up a comment or posting a thread that makes us look like an imbecile going forward?(Coach is exempt because he's simply incapable of that)

as witnessed here as he took this from another page

‘This is insulting…”
‘They gave BILLIONS to Ukraine but our own US citizens get $700,’ someone wrote on Instagram. That someone apparently is kin to Coach. Can we stop the stupid?

If he can pull billions out of OUR asses for a war we don’t even belong in (because it’s hush money) he can pull billions more to help rebuild for his own people. What a fucking slap in the face from a piece of shit.

Special Ed, it is likely as the process goes on, aid will continue to be sent. Already declared a disaster event. The fact you don't comprehend the process is irrelevant. You are just making yourself look more tarded

You know....

Charity starts at home.  It seems unfair that we would give Ukraine billions yet, only $700 to the people in Maui.

What should it be?

How would Republicans feel if Biden pushed for a special concession to give these people let's say, $10K each?

How would Democrats feel if Trump had done the same?

I'm just playing out of the liberal playbook of faking offense at something trivial. You spent the last 7 years crying about every Trump meme and tweet that came across the internet, you get a little taste of it in return and you're acting like you have a high road to take. You are in the gutter with the rest of us, detective007.

I posted conservatives. I did not say Dos Equis is all up in anyone's face... I guess by extension you took it personally.  :)

What I wonder is just when will Biden be in Maui throwing rolls of paper towels at the fire victims, like his predecessor did in Puerto Rico after a hurricane flattened it. Maybe he could slip an additional couple of hundred dollars inside the rolls.
