Min wage raise - effect on restaurant prices?
« on: December 23, 2006, 07:36:49 AM »
Min wage is set to go up $2 an hour.
Since restaurants pay the least, will our dinner prices start to go up now?

restaurant employes for FOH (servers etc) make only 2.15 an hour.  I don't think that the prices will go up significanlty.  Especially since most will proably still make the same amount of money.  More reason to keep illegals employed! J/K

O.k, listen to this and listen closely.  Schwarzenegger did the same in california right?
Does anyone know why?  To Help the poor, I think not.
Califonia was in debt 30billion dollars, and voters didn't want to cut any public programs.  So, Arnold raised the minimum wage.  Now get this, people make more money, pay more payroll taxes.  Got his debt reduced and NO ONE NEW IT?

President bush just raised income taxes.  That is it?  And guess on who?  Not the oil companies.  People will thank him, but come on they really don't understand what really happened.

Now employers will have to match social security taxes as well.  So, more money for social security administration.  Sneaky Politicians.
Most are all show no go!
