Get Big could have been the bright shinning light of free speech that could have blown the lid off of the BBing industry and kept the industry foot soldiers and higher ups honest about how they run the industry!
Instead you have sanctioned the censorship of Get Big and the silencing of truth and free discussion.
You have deputized Bob Chick and allowed him to jail any one who dares disagree with him or call him to task on his mishandling of the Athletes Rep position that was given to him!
Good posters are jailed, solid threads and comments are deleted by those who find the truth and the light to be harmful to their plans.

Get Big USED to be on of the most reasonably moderated sites on the internet. It was a place that was laugh out loud funny but was also stocked with solid and informed posters. Discussions on all topics were great. Now, Ron and his cabal have cracked down on the very things that made Get Big one of the best places on the net for anything.
Now, the best posters must hide behind stupid gimmicks to let loose and be entertaining. Those that speak from their real handles hold back because they don't want to speak their minds and get tossed in Time Out.
Sad state of affairs.

It's just as good as it's ever been, perhaps better. Guys who whine about censorship should maybe cut down on the haterade instead. You can still speak your mind freely and be heard. But if you come here to simply hate and be a dick / idiot who keeps bringing up the same nonsense and personal attacks while hiding behind a nameless account, you are put in your place. Sounds fair to me.

No way, we were having a blast last night, then all of the sudden from out of nowhere Ron and Chick show up, threads, pictures and posts start getting deleted. Then 10 or 15 minutes later they are gone for the night. Nothing that was even remotely offensive.

Haterade is part of the bargin for those that post on here. It keeps the twinks out, although Ron has, for some reason, condoned a schmoe invasion, although thanks to the A-Team the invasion was crushed. No thanks to Ron.
I do agree with the nameless gimmick accounts which I do believe we need to out or cut down on. I do believe that the majority of the gimmicks are def. owned by a select few on Get Big.

That's not really censorship so much as it is moderating. For example, yesterday there was a thread about a nice looking chick with some f*cked up feet and Ron deleted it simply because it was on the G&O. Guys start random topics in this board because they get the most amount of views and response, and depending on whether a mod or someone like Ron is online, those threads will get moved or deleted. Let's face it - nearly every topic here has been discussed indepth, so I don't see the harm in deleting off topic threads that have nothing to do with bodybuilding (in the G&O, that is).
I guarantee you this - start the same topic in the alphabet boards or the General board and they'll stay untouched.

I wish they would just let that stuff slide, it would make the site so much better, if I want to talk bodybuilding I can look for a Ronnie Coleman thread.
I think the site would be so much better if they just let the funny stuff slide, I know Ron and Chick don't have the wit like you and Quaker do, but don't just delete their posts because it's not bodybuilding related.

The G&O is not monitored and moderated 24/7, which makes people think that the deletions are random, when they are simply done whenever Ron comes online and changes things around. Some on here seem to make excuses for Ron and Chick, but the fact is as you pointed out is that the good threads get killed and the schmoe threads and JOhnny Falcon rambling threads stay. Same thing with blutos pathetic pointless threads about fruit where he types a few words and then starts another thread.

You need to freeze new registrations for at least 6 month - that way your actual account will become valuable to people hence they take
greater care what they post and are more afraid of consequences.
Ron also getbig is and always was a special board, much hated by many but more loved by this community, I know it can be a headache from times but remember big boy ;) we love you very much ;) ;)
Edit: if you screen username be more selective - just a couple of days a guy with the name of jewwhit or similar joined - I mean what else do you need to identify a gimmick.

Agreed. Ron is still the man. I think getbig has an ebb and flow about it, sometimes shit will be stricter than other. Right now I believe the mods are tightening things up a bit, but it will loosen, as they have other commitments to tend to in their personal or professional lives.
I just think it is at is best when the cats are away and the mice can play!

There are boards that will give you a one week suspension from posting for even calling another poster a "fool", whilst in Getbig people regularly insult other posters' mothers and don't even get a warning for it. The only things that will get you in time out are posting gay porn on the main boards - regular porn is ok -, making anti-Semitic remarks and calling Peter McGough fat. With the exception of these three things, everything else goes: threads ridiculing other posters fatness/gayness, threads ridiculing the financial status and family of other poster - see the Derek Anthony vs Squatfucker feud -, posting pics of naked female genitalia and of double-anal penetration, racist posts - except for anti-Semitism. Hell, Matt C wrote thousands of paragraphs about the supremacy of whites and Asians over other races for months, and he was only put in time out when he finally started to make anti-Jewish remarks. Gebig is by far the freest board on the net.

Some are more entertaining than others... but if they cross the line, they go... and some are not gimmicks, although you may think they are, which is even more entertaining.
Bottom line, bodybuilding and related items is what I care about and for. I tell you, I've seen this happen on another big page where I know the owner since we have the same page concept, he froze all new user registrations in-defiantly - overnight everybodies useraccount became valuable nobody wanted to loose his account - One thing I learnd from admin big pages (and the same thing is happening at Apacheclips.com atm) if you light moderate a page it's find and dandy for a while but you GOT to clean house once in a while.
NEVER be afraid as an Admin to upset a few people.

Correct, random topics will be moved eventually. Bodybuilding and other related stories in the news, industry, figure, fitness and more will stay. Plain attacks on every thread that is unrelated, porn, stupid videos that are not related to the topics, gay slamming every time, will be deleted or moved.

I agree with what Kiwiol said about haterade, but certain negative posts are perfectly valid. For example, just because someone gives their honest opinion on Kerry Cutler doesn't mean Bob Chick should automatically get the right to be trigger happy with deleting posts and threatening people with bans. Bodybuilding and the industry as a whole is judged subjectively, and any comments on Kerry Cutler's looks should be valid. If you are going to censor people's opinions, then also start censoring other stuff, like the race and culture bashing topics. Just don't censor one thing and leave the other.
One of the biggest problems as been an influx of new posters and gimmick accounts. They are trying to imitate the Getbig style by purposely trying to be dicks and not only is not funny, but it also makes the forum seem shitty. Ten different new accounts all trying to imitate Squadfather is a disaster and totally unfunny. People should try being themselves and adding their own brand of humor, not plagiarizing some veteran member.

What a load of bullshit. I'm a moderator here and we seldom delete/move any posts, even when the posters insult us. You think it's bad here? Have you ever been to other internet message boards? There are boards that will give you a one week suspension from posting for even calling another poster a "fool", whilst in Getbig people regularly insult other posters' mothers and don't even get a warning for it. The only things that will get you in time out are posting gay porn on the main boards - regular porn is ok -, making anti-Semitic remarks and calling Peter McGough fat. With the exception of these three things, everything else goes: threads ridiculing other posters fatness/gayness, threads ridiculing the financial status and family of other poster - see the Derek Anthony vs Squatfucker feud -, posting pics of naked female genitalia and of double-anal penetration, racist posts - except for anti-Semitism. Hell, Matt C wrote thousands of paragraphs about the supremacy of whites and Asians over other races for months, and he was only put in time out when he finally started to make anti-Jewish remarks. Gebig is by far the freest board on the net.
