Japan has a very high suicide rate. There were articles on CNN this year about an epidemic of people killing themselves by mixing bleach and some other shit together. They kept having to evacuate apartments and homes because the fumes are so noxious.

The Times magazine did an article about the high suicide rate in Japan earlier this year and officials link it to the intense focus on career in that nation. The article wasn't actually about suicide, it was about the fact that so many Japanese men literally work themselves to death, but it also talked about the high suicide rate among business men.
Among Chinese and Indian immigrants in the US , a lot of their success is due to American immigration policies.Legal Asian and East Asian immigrants are overwhelmingly selected from successful, educated families.
