Especially the way Arnolds hits it pronounces it so much better. You could rest a beer mug on top of it. Dont like the way everyone turns their shoulder down nowadays

All the ones previously mentioned are all good - it's hard to compare them especially those from different eras - back in the 70's they hit the side chest pose different - I'm sure if Ronnie Coleman imitated the way Arnold used to do it back in the day, people would say that Ronnie's was probably better.

No one had a side chest to rival Arnold. Almost no pro today can even execute a PROPER side chest pose due to gut distension. And Franco probably had the thickest pecs from top to bottom, with that unreal split. His upper chest was sick!

arnold number 1 all by himself even today against anyone his chest is better

that´s Alexey Lesukov from Russia, He´s now 22 or 23 yrs old. Next Competition will bei the Arnolds Classic "Amateur" in March. In his last competition in Oct. 2009 he won the Body-Xtreme Invitational held in Frankfurt/Germany.

Arms, delts, and traps not as big, lending a a illusion of a bigger chest...similar to Arnold's twisting shots making his waist look small, when he (hmself has said) has a wide waist.

i think that new guy from russia that everybodys talkin about is already up in the top 5 or 6 ...trullly incredible structure and striatons.
the weirdest thing happening in todays bodybuilding is how the chest measuewment are still getting bigger but outside of a few like ronnie noone really looks as good as some of the old time guys in the chest department. i wonder if its most guys getting away from the old time exersises like barbell bench,barbell incline bench, flat dumbell flys and goin twords the hammer and pec deck type stuff....weird though.

Damn, screencaps from the NoC just never get old. Rühl looks INSANE there. His head is literally being drowned by muscle and it's almost as if he's too wide/thick to hit the pose right. Crazy. Just crazy.

Yip that Older Version of hitting the SC is right, the reason alot of them do not do it like that anymore is obviously there ability to pull a Vachum is a whole lot more Limited with Enlarged Organs bulging the hell out of there GH Guts, so now (or actually for the last 15 years or so) guys just crunch down showing more delts and arms than the Chest, should be called the "Side delts and arms" nowadays........

Arnold, Lou, Franco, Fox, Szkalak, Haney, Ruehl, Dennis James, that Russian kid (Sergei something -- you know the one. He has a baby-face), Art Atwood, Johnny Jackson ... maybe even Branch Warren, as almost universally poo-pooed as he is even in the hard-core bodybuilding sites.
I'd also add Shawn Ray to the list as a man with an outstanding side-chest and most-muscular. I might even dare to add Dorian Yates to the list because when he was on, his side chest was freakishly thick from neck to mid-waist with very deep striations running from armpit to sternum.
