YES!!!!!! The fight I've been waiting for.
The world is shocked as an aging Iceman is melted by the aura of barely contained fury that is "Rampage."
Chuck: "I'm going to knock him out in the first round."
Rampage: "I'm gonna woop Chuck's ass."
Predicions?
-
My prediction is someone is neither one is getting a ko..This one goes to decision and chuck retains the title..
-
I like Rampage and I hope he wins, but I still think he should've taken one more tune up fight.

I agree, I hope having Brandon Vera in his camp will help him get ready. I see Page by third or fourth round TKO.
-
2nd round chuck, he'll feel him out in the first after all rampage did beat him before, then in the second he'll have realised he can take him easy and finish him off. I like rampage but chuck has refined the stand up to perfection....nearly
-
chuck. first round.
-
i feel the fight is gonna take atleast 2 rounds, possibly 3 at most. These guys have bad blood so they may just want to bang the crap out of each other. If thats the case, look for Chuck to tie Rampage up against the cage and unload on him.
Chuck by TKO
-
My only fear is Rampage may come out rusty, or try a different tactic. If he's more reserved this time, Chuck will pick him off with a well-timed strike(or eye-poke). Otherwise, Chuck can't trade punches with Rampage for the life of him, or hang on the ground for that matter. I believe Rampage will push the fight. He's hungry for this.
Rampage by 3rd round KO/TKO.
-
maybe rampage will shock everyone and get chuck down with a bodyslam!

Chuck has refined standup when fighting grappling based fighters. I see Page standing in front of him and throwing (like he did in the first fight). Page uses good head movement (which is a detriment when fighting a muay thai based fighter, it allows them to get the plum), and slips, covers, and cuts good angles. He also has a good chin, he unlike Jacob Ortiz, has good power, and I think this element will force Chuck to clinch, wherein Page will get the big slam.
-
lets see here
Randy is bigger, stronger, has quick hands/feet, is a good defender, and is tough as nails,
I like Chuck but unless he pulls something out of his hat he is over his head with Rampage.
Also have you seen the size of Rampages head its huge it maybe the biggest head I have ever seen.

I didn't know Vera is working with 'Page. That's cool...but when is Vera gonna get his ass in the cage again? That guy has so much potential that seems to be stagnating. Does he have an upcoming fight scheduled in ANY federation? ???

Vera is rumored to be fighting Big Nog at UFC 73, but I have also heard Justin MCcully will be fighting Big Nog at UFC 73 so take that with as many grains of salt as you wish.

Vera has been on the UG saying he resigned with the UFC, terms weren't disclosed.
-
GSP
Cro Cop
next will be Chuck to go down in defeat
Rampage tko 2nd round
-
hahaha a few months back everyone was jumping on me calling me a retard and telling me how much Chuck has improved since they first fought. Now the overwhelming majority agree Rampage will win. This must be because of the Cro Cop upset.
-
no my moneys on chuck, if wandy comes over everyone will beat him too cause he was and still is piss poor compared to A class fighters. Fedor is the only pride fighter who will "walk through" the ufc

::) "Wandy" as you call him, beat the crap out of the guy that beat the crap out of Chuck Liddell.
I don't follow your "funny logic."
-
chuck was a different fighter then as you'll see ufc 71. rampage has got worse if anything, wandy just beat him on his way down. im not getting into an arguement just wait and see
-
Everyone says he was a different fighter ???
Different how?
You mean he was younger?
I watched the fight and it's the same Chuck. He's very cautious, feels his opponent, waits for the quick KO. He's not used to fighting a real heavy hitter with decent boxing skills that's not intimidated by his reputation. Chuck is used to fighting the decent wrestlers with sub-par standup that make up the UFC ranks. Tito is the king of these clowns.
You don't want to argue because you can't have a logical discussion. You have no argument!
Fanboys!
RKBB will laugh heartily at all of you when Chuck is forever relegated to the ranks of the undercarders!!!!

not the same chuck. he has improved alot with his sprawl and i believe he has improved his power and striking. we will see if this translates into a win against rampage though..i hope so.
-
There are 2 guys right now in MMA who are the pound for pound the best
and are at the top of their games
Fedor and Chuck
Chuck has been mowing everyone down , that will include Rampage
round 1 KO

::)
Hey what happened to Bezerkfairy? He was the loudest of the Chuck Liddell fanboys.
-

Same sprawl, same KO power. He is better at footwork, timing, and distance, though.

Hey what happened to Bezerkfairy? He was the loudest of the Chuck Liddell fanboys.
He ran away and hasn't been seen in a while... But look at how Page fought against Beastman I thought that was a horrible Quinton display.. Plus in the ring Chuck couldnt walk the cage to prevent the takedown, nor grab ahold of it... I think that Chuck will win.. Quinton didn't look very impresive in his first showing... I thought he would've at least destroyed Marvin... But it wasn't a walk thru the way I expected it to be.. Chuck would knock out Easstman 2 minutes into the first..
-
exactly and the sob story after will not be "hey chuck must have improved" it will be "rampage wasnt himself" or some crap like that. Chuck has improved in accuracy, timing and outstanding angles for strikes.
When chuck is beaten it'll be by someone who overpowers him takes him to the floor and keeps him there.
Make an opponent fight in his weakest area rather than his strongest and you'll soon see the difference.
I see rampage losing.
Chuck wants to step up weight.
Chuck - Nog = chuck by knock out (even though nogs one of my favs)
Fedor coming over - crop - fedor rematch
Then Fedor Vs Randy
Fedor Vs Chuck
Fedor unanimous - retires a ledgend
-
Chuck has gotten much better at cutting angles, the one thing that I still see as his weakness, is his precission striking. He throws way to many looping punches that could be countered with a straight over hand or even a clinch quickly and then just knees. I also agree that if someone puts chuck on the ground and over powers him then he will be in aton of trouble... I just don't see chuck loosing a fight anytime soon, if it is on their feet. The man has some crazy ass luck of landing those ugly ass punches... Plus this is his house that Page is coming into, just like chuck visted the house of Page in their last fight. I still say Chack by KO overhand right within the first 2 minutes of the 1st round.. Page will come out hunting and we all know that is a No-No when it comes to chuck... It will be the Babalu fight all over again but with a black guy this time... Just my opinion...

I agree with the footwork angle, but he has never been pushed by someone since his loss to Randy and Page. Page will stand in fron of him (like he did in the first fight) wear him down, take him down late and get a TKO. Page didn't immediately shoot, he waited until they clinched (which Chuck was initiating) and took him down and started wearing Chuck down. Chuck hasn't been taken deep into the a fight, and unless Chuck has become a muay thai based striker (Page's kryptonite), I don't think he will catch Page. Page has a better shelling structure than Tito, and parries, and moves well for a big guy. Page also has the strength and explosiveness on Chuck. Chuck has more power in his hands, and the worlds best cage sprawl, fence grab, cage walk.
-
never say never in MMA but if i was a betting man i would bet the farm on chuck
rampage's best weapon was his power, and that appears to have peaked a couple years ago ... chuck should get an early KO
-

Page has power, but the power weren't in his hands. He doesn't have a lot of one or two punch KOs. He gets a lot of TKOs from wearing down people, not KOing them.
-
i wouldnt argue that: power isnt necessarily punching people, its also slamming them, exploding out of their submissions etc ... but as i said (like tyson and vitor) his early dominance came from his power and i believe he was more powerful 3 years ago than he is today ... explosive power tends to peak at 23 or thereabouts and i dont think he has improved his skill set enough to take chuck again ... meanwhile i think chuck has tightened his striking significantly and that will give him the W
-
That Rampage guy is going to kill Liddell. You can take that to the bank
-
IMO, what Chuck has improved on since the 1st fight w/ Rampage is getting back up to his feet after getting taken down. In the first fight, Page got to half-guard and pounded away. Don't think he'll be able to do that this time.
Chuck wins by KO.
-
chucks big improvements came mostly from his striking... he no loner relies mainly on that big looping right to KO people and has taken out several with a very tight straigth right instead
not sure his ability to get back up has improved much, its always been amazing but that fight took place in a ring as opposed to a cage
as ambull said before, chuck has a gas tank issue... and in the first round he and quentin threw an incredible amount of bombs, he was gassed by the second while the younger quentin was not (at least not to the same degree)
-
Chuck by total blindness!
-
Rampage will win this fight if he does the same as last time, put the pressure and not allow chuck to "pick" him apart. If he fights like the beast that he is, chuck will lose the same way he did last time =)

Exactly.
All these cans that Dana puts Chuck against are afraid of him. They are too cautious...give him too much respect. Chuck is able to feel them out and set up the KO with those downright ODD punches. Rampage is too aggressive and definately not afraid. He will rush in and attack with heavy hits and Chuck's "gameplan" will go out the window. He's not used to fighting a puncher that really presses him. If you watch the last fight between these too, you can hear Chuck whincing in pain. The look on his face is classic!
This is assuming both fighters show up in good form of course.

Or they rush headlong, hands flailing, or down into punching range when Chuck retreats and circles to the left or right he throws a nice hook/straight right/left combo that normally spells the beginning of the end.
-
Anything is possible.
-
You mean like he did in their last fight? Oh wait, im sorry chuck is a "different" fighter now.. hehe

Americanbulldog, you said you believe Ramp will win, now you are flip flopping. Stop riding the fence and make a prediction.

chuck is different, as i mentioned before he tightened his striking
imo shogun has a better shot with liddell than rampage

Chuck is different. He has developed an excellent use of angles that he didnt have in the previous fight. He walks the ring and draws an opponent in so he can counter punch. And his sprawling is vastly improvied The first fight was much more straight forward with chuck directly challening Rampage. I do wonder if QJ has had enough experience reaclimating himself to the octagon. That being said I wouldnt mind Qj pullng out a victory.

Where have I flipped flopped? Page by fourth round TKO.

We finally have a disagreement. Liddell by KO in the second...

As long as he isn't fighting a Rudimar Fedrigo fighter, I like Page's chances.
-
much like tank and sub work, quentin think learning to defend in the clinch is for pussies, he probably trains with franklin :D
.
chuck is gonna get all coked up and KO him!

He is training with Vera. Vera just came back from Thailand.

Yeah, baby! I'm liking 'Page's chances more and more...not enough to risk parting with my money though.

It will be a good fight thats all I know! It's hard for me to decide who will win.

Fights coming up tonight muthas!!!!! ;D
Just a few hours...there's still time to change your mind and admit Rampage will win this.
