Prostate Cancer and Testosterone
« on: June 11, 2023, 09:24:03 AM »
Hello all,

3 weeks ago they have diagnosed me with prostatate cancer (no metastases)
The Urologist said it is because of my AAS use prior years.

I don't know if that is completely true.

Is it safe to use only a little Testosterone ( 1ml per week)  after the treatment?
I read articles that TRT is quite safe?

Does anybody more know?

Many thanks in advance.

Regards

Christo. What treatment are you going to receive? This is important data...  What type of AAS were you using? What was your testosterone levels while using? What were your estrogen levels while using? Are you still using AAS today?

1st off, I am sorry to hear of your diagnosis.  What is the treatment plan?  Did they say what stage your prostate cancer is?

Most importantly, do not come here looking for answers when you are in the midst of a potential life threatening illness.  Talk to your general practitioner, your proctologist, oncologist and a urologist.

My non medical professional inclination is that if they remove the prostate, blast away.  If they just treat it, your days of taking test should probably be over.  But, ask these questions of multiple doctors.

Wishing you health and happiness.

Every man dies with prostate cancer but not FROM it.
The treatment approach is usually testosterone blocking.
Might not be the best idea to take test afterwards.

This, and get a second opinion as well.

Yes, at the very least, a second opinion.  Good call.

Yes I agree with all. Please seek out at least a second opinion. Yes testosterone directly or indirectly will cause prostate cancer in EVERY man IF we live long enough. Some get it early though. I am sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you find a knowledgeable doctor.

Hello all,

Good news! I do not have prostate cancer despite the MRI. The taken biopts were all good without any tumor.
Only benigne prostate enlargement.

So i am very happy:)
Also thanks for the support!

Still i am doubing using AAS in the future.
Maybe only a little test.
Now i am using creatine.

Why don't you ask your doctor/specialist?

You got diagnosed with prostate cancer, then come to a bodybuilding forum and inquire if using 1ml of test a week is safe???? SMH......you are VERY unwell and pretty stupid my friend
