Stan lives in the San Fernando Valley, which is north of Los Angeles, and 20 miles west of Pasadena. Stan is a personal trainer at Powerhouse Gym of Chatsworth, and enjoys the bodybuilding sport, I think he just placed 2nd at the NPC Nationals in 2004. He comes to our offices every month or two to say hello.

Stan was natty, those pics are from when he was competing in the 170's. He was on a Discovery show couple years ago. Thick ass chest. Obv when he went national level he went on the sauce. Good potential i think though

I think it would be more accurate to say Tito is latino.
But I think Stan has the more significant bodybuilding resume, including winning his class in the 2002 USA, with Tito coming in 5th in the same class and Jose Raymond placing 4th.

Your right he did, I'm just going by memory, But I don't give any credence to placings in the NPC, remember Chris Cook got his pro card and wasn't cut for shit. I always thought that Tito had a better Flow than Stan, and I believe he was placing higher than Stan prior to 2001.

About the comment about Stan talking bad to the pros about juice, I don't recall Stan ever saying that, it doesn't seem like him. At that time Stan was stating he was natural and wanted to bring bodybuilding to the mainstream to appeal more to people! I don't think Stan really cares about becoming a mass monster. He's doing the smart thing, marketing himself, getting an endorsement with Prolab and is a crowd favorite among the NPC. Overall I think he has a pleasing physique, certainly better then 90% of the population, but for being competitive in today's standards he needs more mass. But I would definitely rather have his physique then Ronnie or Jays. Just my opinion.

Honestly, does anybody on here personally know stan, not just from what you hear? Just wondering? I've talked to him briefly a long time ago, seemed opposite of what people here say. Just a thought! By the way, I know he sure loves to party (like a chris cormier, who was once his mentor)

I know Stan and he is a very good guy, to some he might come across as arrogant but if you really know him he's absolutely not.
Currently, he's taking some time off while in really good shape for appearances and such.
I'm not certain he parties like he used too but I do know he enjoys having a good time and for good reason, that's his personal business and noone elses.
Also, I know that Stan would like to have settled down now and I don't see anything wrong with that. He always has time for his fans and never ever turns them away whatsoever. Check him out on his site www.stanmcquay.com

Simple, later when he competed in the nationals, Dave's competition wasn't as tight as opposed to the USA's.(My opinion guys) I think if Stan had competed in the nationals that same following year he would have won and Dave would have placed 2nd like the pics shown above. Another fact Dave added more MASS, which is a plus and a must if you want to be competitive in the IFBB.(Remember Jimmy Canyon, who beat stan but hasn't gone far as a pro) Plus he kept his condition and I hope he doesn't play the size game in the future. Otherwise he'll ruin his physique.

My training partner has that sort of conditioning almost year round. He doesn't have the shape, but then again, he's 42 and doesn't take a single supplement.

To me, Dex is best. His heaad looks good when he doesn't do that funny fake smile. Shawn is one of my favs too, but in the limited pics I've seen, he just doesn't look as lean or dry as Dex. It was a poor choice of words. I have the Ultimate respect for YOU, or ANYBODY else that competes at that level. I have respect for anyone who competes at all. Competing at the level you are at is amazing. Competing the number of times you have is also beyond comprehension for most people as to how Strenous it is. I have competed only twice because it is so demanding & difficult.
I was really trying to compliment Eryk Bui, thats what was in my mind. I was really traying to say that you & him had a great battle onstage, but it came out a little derogatory towards you when I used the word "WHIPPIN". I take that back. I wasn't there, but from the photo's it looked like a Titanic battle..
I am pulling for you & hope you win your class. I think most of us on this board feel the same..

Yeah. This was back when he first came onto the net over on EF and nobody really knew that he was legitimately "different". He was trying hard to make friends and someone said "just throw a party". Well instead he offered to do a cook out. And about 200 people said they were coming. Not being malicious but just posting something like "I'll be there with my supermodel girlfriend with the false teeth" Just bullshit. So he chose a date his mother had to work a weekend shift at her job and used her credit card to buy 200 steaks, chicken, pork chops, sides, sodas, etc..
Someone made a remark about how long it would take to actually grill that much stuff on one grill. So he went out and bought 3 more grills. Charcoal grills that is. Keep in mind he and his mother lived in an apartment. So the day of the cook out he fired up all four grills in the living room with just the sliding glass door open. Needless to say it wasn't long afterwards the fire department showed up due to the all the smoke coming out of his balcony door. His mom had to rush home and in addition to finding out he spent over $3000 on her credit card, that the living room ceiling had smoke damage and the apartment rental place was kicking them out and making her cover the repair costs.
He told her that he was having a cook out for his friends and when she found out his "friends" were all these posters on EF, she called the police and tried to have them go to the EF offices and arrest the owner for causing this to happen. Which they informed her they couldn't do it. She later got an attorney and tried to sue the owner (Paul) and the admin (Rick) to cover the costs she had to pay for the credit card bill, apartment repair, and expense of moving to another apartment. It was tossed out in court.
He came online under a new name (his old one was banned and placed in coventry) and told everyone about it. Posted a link to the newspaper article that was in the paper about it. Then the admin let everyone know it wasn't a joke and his mom was trying to sue the board.
He went by a bunch of different names over there. He was supposed to be "banned on the spot" per his mother's instructions but everyone turned a blind eye to it until she would contact the admin and scream her head off. He went by :

But would come on the AAS forums and "caution" people every now and then. But he would post some really off the wall things at times. Much more off the wall than normal.

Then you open the thread and the content would be something like "Mom took me to Target today for three hours".
Just random weird ass shit at times. One time he said that he was going to eat 10 PB&J sandwiches every day to bulk up (dude was super ripped) and by the third day he made some post about how he had eat a loaf and a half of bread that day to "catch up". When questioned, he didn't even make the PB&J sandwiches. Instead he ate a jar of PB the first day, a jar of jelly the second day and was going to just eat the bread the third day. In his head he figured it all evened out eventually once it was in him.
