Most civil rights marchers show remarkable restraint and acted with dignity. Dr King knew this was the key to gaining respect.

Acting out in violent attacks and spitting on the racist groups didn't help their cause.
They should have been out there in force and protested the racists in the proper manner.
Get in formation, hold your sign, chant in unison and refuse to engage in undisciplined out bursts.
