Romney was going to peak after securing the nomination.

Now, he begins to peel away layers of voters.  He can really only lose them at this point, ,for the most part.

those extreme positions he had to take very late into campaigning season are hurting him.

We knew this would happen.

well then I guess all he has to do is lose them slower then the person who thinks:

1. millions dropping out of the labor market, millions unemployed and underemployed = "Private sector doing fine"

2. the answer to boosting the economy is more govt spending on govt workers...

LMFAO

what a troll you have become

these are all reasons why obama sucks.

youre all ignoring what always happens.  Someone is introduced and they poll high.  A few weeks later, they drop.

Remember wes clark, herman cain, and fred thompson once led their primaries?  lmao... it always happens when a dude is introduced.

Mitt is a Tier-2 candidate - 333386 admits it.  Mitt is going to trail obama most of the campaign and probably lose too.  This is just following precedent.  Dole, mccain.... and now romney... lame candidates all day long.

HA Ha ha - you are so fucking clueless.   Its been so amusing to watch you descend into total madness this past year.

Just like Walker in wisconsin, its not even going to be close.     180 - i know being a far left obama tampon you can't see reality - but obama is despised and he now has a narrative of being an illiterate joke.  He wont get the turnout like he did in 2008, and the GOP base is froathing at the mouth for this election.

LOL - the one thing you are forgetting obama cum sock is that obama is now a tier 0 candidate and a failed president like Carter.

LOL what you fail to take into account with you myopic obama cock love is that his is being polled in relation to OBAMA!!!

an obama hit means a romney gain(even if he doesnt gain voters)

all he has to do is lose them slower than obama...

I think even you can understand that concept

i guess we'll see if i'm right or not.  it's essentially a tie now in national polls.  Intrade still give obama an 11 point lead to win the election.  $$$$

over the next few weeks, then months... will Romney go up or down?

I guess we'll see who is right.  Maybe mitt is that ONE candidate who gets introduced nationally and doesn't gradually drop.  He's the one, huh?  ;)

Barack Kardashian will be lucky to make it to the end of the year the way he is going.   Yesterday, amazingly, he exceeded all previous levels of economic illiteracy he has displayed over the past 3 years.

obama sucks, sure.  But romney is at the peak of his newbie honeymoon . ANd it's still tied.

obama lead us into war and depression.  and mitt's at his newbie peak.  and it's still tied.

not a good sign.  no matter how bad obama is, you cant run from the FACT that mitt is woefully underperforming.  Shouldn't be a surprise - he underperformed against a weak GOP field, needing to outspend santorum 6 to 1 to barely win his home state of michigan lol.  This shouldn't be a  surprise to anyone that he's underperforming against obama now.

We'll see come election time what this country is made of. Pussy ass left wing Obama lovers, or whatever else is on the menu. I personally, political views aside, think its time to try something new and see if it works. MY quality of life is not what it should be, so I'm for whatever helps me and my kind, the upper middle class. I do not believe in sharing my wealth.

you continue to attack me - you continue to ignore my point.

every candidate starts at the top, when they arrive with all that fury and attention.  Let's rally, etc etc.

THEN we get to know him.  Remember when RUDY destroyed everyone in polls?  He was poor with people, and the more he campaigned, the more his numbers dropped.

methinks rudy was WAY better with ppl than Rmoney is...

Listen to what you're saying. A tie in the national polls usually spells DISASTER when it involves an incumbent.

Why do you think the libs were getting all excited about that exit poll in Wisconsin that had Walker and Barrett tied?

As Dick Morris and others have repeatedly stated, the undecideds go for the challenger. In 7 of the last 8 presidential elections, the incumbent lost all the undecided voters (Bush 43 was the lone exception).

if they were tied in october, i'd say its over, obama loses.

but they're tied in June.
After romney was leading everything last week - the same week he became the nominee.

we've seen this over and over.  It's hte honeymoon.  it's Newt up by 25 points in florida lol.  It's cain up by 35 points in S Carolina.

Romney just won the nomination and his week of honeymoon is nearly over.  You'll see him drop weekly now - all the while getbiggers will credit bad polls (the same polls they found credible when romney was up a few points).   Romney's peaked.  only one way to go now.

Hey, yall chose a tier 2 candidate.

Because the media and gaybama used all their lines of attack on Romney already and they all flopped.   As the economy gets worse and Obama sticks w his socialism and communism, his flailing in the wind at Romney won't mean shit.

It's a referendum on Obama not Romney.

I don't see how anyone can think this is a good sign when Romney is essentially tied with OB.

I think what's happening here on this board is: "Tool Time". It's almost juvenile with some posters.

But we will see.  Camp Romney has their work cut for them.

Where was Kerry at this point in 2004?

I just don't see this as good news.

President Bush is seen as the candidate best suited to handle terrorism and national crises, while Democrat John Kerry (search) tops Bush on handling domestic issues such as health care and Social Security (search). Just as both candidates are viewed as equally likely to inspire confidence in the presidency, there is little change in the tight presidential election, according to a Fox News poll released Thursday.
The national registered voter poll finds the Republican incumbent would receive the support of 43 percent to Kerry's 45 percent, if the presidential election were held today. When independent Ralph Nader (search ) is included, he receives three percent, Bush 42 percent and Kerry 42 percent.

I think it's a good position.  He just won enough delegates to get the nomination.  The money is just now starting to roll in.  Republicans are lining up behind him.  He's about to start an ad blitz.  He's going to get a bump from his vp choice (if it's a good one), the convention, and his debate performances.

Given all that, being in a dead heat with a sitting president who has the MSM in his back pocket is pretty darn good.
