Sequestration Lie and Aftermath

So the president misled the country about whether sequestration was his idea, and during the debate promised it would not happen:

Who is being injured by this?  Service members, the vast majority of whom are probably lower enlisted, who are trying to further their education.

College tuition stipends for U.S. airmen suspended
By Associated Press
Mar 12, 2013

RALEIGH, N.C. » The U.S. Air Force has joined other military branches in suspending tuition assistance that thousands of active-duty airmen rely on to pay for college classes.

Air Force spokeswoman Lt. Col. Laurel Tingley said airmen were notified in an email today that new applications for tuition assistance won't be accepted because of the $85 billion in federal spending cuts that went into effect March 1.

The U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Coast Guard suspended their assistance programs last week. A decision by the U.S. Navy is pending.

The tuition assistance programs pay up to $250 per semester hour for active duty personnel, up to $4,500 per year. Military personnel may still qualify for aid under the G.I. Bill, which is not affected.

So, our troops can't get college educations to help them in the civilian world. But, hey!! At least, we'll find out why three-quarters of lesbians are fat.

Look at the trend of who is going to get the shaft.

How about the idiot in chief start cutting off the obamaphones, the millions to useless "green techonology", the millions to create jobs overseas, and his constant vacations and trips to the golf course. By now he should know that he sucks at golf, sucks at basketball and sucks at being president.

That was the plan. Obama was banking on the GOP, caving to him and giving him more tax hikes, because the military gets brokebacked the most.

BB stop demagoguing this issue.

The Republicans are clearly to blame here.

Sarah Palin and Rupert Murdock conspired with Ronald Reagan and Ayn Rand back during slavery to create a permanent underclass of Americans.

Regardless of the fact that Obama proposed it Congress still voted for it

In the House, 174 Republicans and 95 Democrats voted for the law, while 66 Republicans and 95 Democrats opposed it. (Final tally: Passed 269-161.) In the Senate, 28 Republicans and 45 Democrats voted for it, while 19 Republicans and 6 Democrats opposed it. (Final tally: Passed 74-26)
