Things aren't the same here. I used to love reading this board and the humour was second to none. Now I find myself trawling through threads in the hope of finding a glimmer of what used to be :'(
All of a sudden it's boring as hell and there are numerous threads with Arabs licking each others bumholes.
Why is this? Is it because the mods have clamped down or is getbig just not that good anymore? :( Does anyone else agree?

It was at it's peak when FlasRob made IFBB pros meltdown like a candle. It was at it's best when people didn't stalk and post personal information. When Derek Anthony posted here, when Special Ed was making Top-10 Lists etc...
Now it's overrun by stalkers with gimmicks galore and boring threads. I remember when this site literally dictated how the entire bodybuilding industry operated. We had judges, promoters, supplement company owners, Blechman, McGouh, Chang and whoever els by their balls. What we wrote about on here ruled with an iron fist.

here is one of the biggest reasons i attribute what you guys are talking about to, mind you i was not here during the swan song.
people in the bodybuilding industry are not that smart, everyone hijacks the ideas of another and tries to make it their own, and dilutes it.
look at the supplement industry, now-a-days every idiot thinks he will be the next marketing genious to strike it rich,,,most fail miserably.
now the internet, everyone saw what kind of pull getbig had, and said, hey, what ron is doing is not that difficult, certainly i can do it myslef.
thus one great message board, fractioned into numerous, smaller shittier message boards......people like blechman the bottom twink lured away pros and former pros with promises of money for their loyalty to the new message board.... an we all know how cash strapped most pros and retired pros are. they could not come here to post even if they wanted to, because they might endanger the insulting stipend they are getting paid to post over at other boards........paying pros to post was a very bad precedent to start...........they used to post here because they are insecure babies who constantly needed their egos strokes, they would have posted anyway.
bodyduilders are not an overly-huge community, BB.com eats up most of the noobs and teenagers (people you wouldnt like posting her anyway), and after you take that into account......how many hardcore lifter/functional posters are really out there..........certainly not enough to keep a dozen or more message boards going strongly
this is a classic case of market dilution on the supply side.......the only good news is that in light of all these adversities, getbig still remains somewhat strong.......all those other message boards like MM, MD, RX are doomed to failure.......they are so fucking weak.
if someone posts those alexa numbers that shows MD getting more site traffic then GETBIG, remember that is exactly what it is, site traffic.......people go there to quickly skim over contest results and see pics of pros, ect..........but their forum is shit........because they are corrupt and agenda driven over there, the site is full of asskissers and sycophants like the mayor and the adman.......these people would get their ass handed to them over at get big

And you can only maintain a high point for so long. When the SQUAD was riding high and dominating the board it was a fun time around here, but just like a great TV sitcom, the jokes get repetitive, things get stale and the show is cancelled.

yeah, thats true too......people almost always exhibit what is know in psycology circles as "euphoric recall".......meaning that they always envision the past in a much more sympathetic and postiive light then it was in all actuality..........like when i think back to high school, and talk to my friends about all the fun we had and pussy we got.......when in truth most of the time we sat around downtown and talked about how boring our lives were and how lame our town was.

Sadly, some of the funny people have either left (Block, Special Ed), or grown up (240). Another things is, we have TONS of attention whores now, who add nothing to the board. No funny, no wit, nothing. They just litter the board with their bullshit (Daddydumbass, Bluto/NW83).
And yes, Al-Schmoezeera has taken over. Lots of gays in the middle east, apparently.
It also doesn't help that we have too many people who are just here to "hate". At least back in the day, we used to be funny when doing it. These fucks now have no talent.
There was a time when virtually no thread was "off limits", when you could speak your mind about this shitty industry. Not anymore. We used to call peoples' bullshit out. That's hardly the case anymore.

Hey I got nothing against you Chaos even though you and I have fought in the past, but I believe this should stay as a primarily BB board but guys like you turned this place into a constant battleground of nonsense with guys just mindlessly fighting one another but never admitting that they are wrong...this gets boring as well when guys refuse to acknowledge the rational arguments of others and just continue fighting for laughs or for arguments sake....it turns off a lot of people who come here for serious information about a range of subjects

The serious info is there, it hasn't changed. How much info on nutrition/weightlifting does anyone need? There are tons of topics and boards all up and down getbig that have strict moderation, how many of those boards do you post on? Seriously, have you ever checked out The Training Board? The Positive Board? And alot of others where you can discuss topics in a serious manner. Not sure what your problem is, pretty sure you still feel the sting of your past dealings with chaos. :-\

People here have been whining for as long as I can remember about the negativity and the attacks and all the BS on the G&Schmoe, but given the opportunity to post on The Positive Board, where BBing discussion is moderated and flaming/shit talking is kept to a very minimum, very few people ever post there.......want to know why? People love the drama. They either want to be involved in it or watch it. I've made several posts on the G&Schmoe inviting people to post there, several people have posted there about how it was going to be the only board they posted on.......then they went right back to G&Schmoe.
If you don't like the drama, post on The Positive Board. 8)

I read it when it first got started, but due to the Alex board IP stuff I was a little hesitant to join so I didn't. I just remember one of them saying how you wasn't wanted over there.

I didn't sign up with a buttload of gimmicks at all, I signed up with chaos, and BH welcomed me, the next day Retard Ed banned me. Then I signed up as Anarchy......as soon as I said one bad thing about them, boom banned again, the about 3-4 posters here that had signed up but didn't want to post started sending me their passwords to see how quick I would be banned. That's the story from the source, not some second hand bitter bodybuilding reject and his "alledged" thief of a lawyer version.

Getbig is a shell of it's former self. It was at it's pinnacle when more IFBB pros posted here and legends like SARCASM sent them screaming for their lives. It was at it's peak when FlasRob made IFBB pros meltdown like a candle. It was at it's best when people didn't stalk and post personal information. When Derek Anthony posted here, when Special Ed was making Top-10 Lists etc...
Now it's overrun by stalkers with gimmicks galore and boring threads. I remember when this site literally dictated how the entire bodybuilding industry operated. We had judges, promoters, supplement company owners, Blechman, McGouh, Chang and whoever els by their balls. What we wrote about on here ruled with an iron fist.
Hell, Titus torches a bitch and the first thing he does? Checks Getbig.
