The police chief there is a black woman. Netflix clearly is gonna have to change that, probably have her played by Edgar Winter.

I saw a thumbnail from a Canadian news channel covering this. If I recall correctly, it was coverage of Tyre Nichols' funeral, and Al Sharpton was present.

If anything, from what I can tell, it looks like the brutality was doled out over past police encounters with Nichols. I suspect one or more of the offending officers had experience with Nichols. Or maybe they are just psychopaths who got the job as diversity hires in the left's never-ending quest to end racism. Meaning, they just hired Black officers even if they didn't meet the requirement just so the Memphis PD could point to them as proof they aren't racist. And maybe they ended up getting psychopath cops as a result.
