Yes.. it even beats up Bloodsport, Kickboxer and Rocky 4.

I saw this at the cinemas when it came out and remember we were all mindblown. Like "POHH!!! :o" nonstop.

Tony Jaa used to be marketed heavily with a lot of new movies being churned out.

Had his patent moves of the flying elbow and double drop knees.

Nope. It's Bloodsport.

Before that movie 99.9% of the world's population, did not know that full contact, martial arts tournaments were being held.

It had a big impact on the creation of UFC, Pride etc...

And it had a young Forrest Whitaker! It's not even close. The key is the tournament. Not just some Bruce Lee character beating everyone up.

And it was supposedly a true story (in movie terms) about an American fighter named Frank Dux.

Look at the ending credits for all of the records he held. He'll, half of Van Dammes moves I laughed at, until I saw someone pull it off in a real fight.
