Here is some news that might suprise many. George Foreman the Heavyweight Legend, and face behind the popular cooking device, "The George Foreman Grill," might not have been a boxer had the UFC been around when he was younger and climbing the ranks of Boxing.
In Kevin Iole's latest article on Yahoo.com, Foreman gave his views on the UFC, and for a man who has become very famous for his talents inside the Boxing ring, it may come as a shock to many how Foreman feels about
the UFC.
Quoted in Iole's column, Foreman confessed his love for the UFC and even indicated had the sport been around in the 1960's... nobody would have pulled a rope-a-dope on him.
(A reference to his fight with Muhammad Ali in 1974)
Quoted on Yahoo.com,
Foreman stated:
"I love the UFC. I love it."
Foreman doesn't only love the UFC, but he also wishes he could have been a part of it.
"If they had had that back when I was coming up, in 1966, it would have been my sport. Man, I love it. And you know what? Nobody would have pulled the
rope-a-dope on me."
