Washington (CNN)—The Republican-led Senate will vote on Monday -- for the fourth time in as many weeks -- to begin debate on a stalled funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, which faces a Friday deadline.
But like the three votes before it, Senate Democrats are expected to block taking up the bill that passed the GOP-controlled House because it contains what they consider poison pills -- provisions that would block President Barack Obama's executive orders on immigration.

Repubs won't DEFUND amnesty with the budget (because they don't get paychecks)
BUT
They will leave our nation defenseless by defunding Dept of Homeland security with the amnesty block pills?
Look, I hate amnesty more than the average non-RINO, but if you want to block it, you defund it! You don't attach it to something like, say, keeping our borders safe. These same idiots will blame obama when we get attacked thru an opening in defenses they created!

Homeland Security hasn't provided any security to our homeland, anyway. The whole department is a complete waste of taxpayers dollars.

Please, it's called compromise. They gave him everything he wanted in that bill, except the funding for his EO. But, he's got to have it all. We have seen since Day 1, Obama does not compromise on anything. All that horseshit about reaching across the aisle was just that.

why should he compromise when Congress has done nothing on immigration
he is the POTUS and EO's are part of the job so why not use them when Congress refuses to take any action

Repubs have been fairly united in cutting spending across the board and there seems to be no end to sequestration (which is still in effect).
He's only ever been able to pass significant legislation when Dems had a super majority.
He is completely incapable of compromise.
