Tim Tebow, arguably the nation's greatest college football player of all time, has decided to forego the NFL and instead play in the CFL.
For those who dont know, Tebow now owns a 10% equity stake in the formerly defunct XFL, recently resurrected by its original founder, Vince McMahon. For every game Tim Tebow participates in, the XFL will co-promote with the CFL and all revenue will be split 50/50. Logo's from both organizations will appear on team jerseys.
In addition, Tim Tebow and Vince McMahon will have complete and total control over the season schedule for Tim's team. In other words they can decide, independently, how many games Tim Tebow's team will play and when those games will be held. Tim Tebow will not be bound by the limitations of the typical team's season schedule.
This by no means will put Tim Tebow's GOAT status into question.
His college achievements (1 Heisman, 2 national championships) exempt him from needing to compete in the NFL. In fact, NFL quarterbacks (like Peyton Manning and Drew Brees) would be wise to consider voiding their NFL contracts and joining the CFL if they wish to prove that they are better quarterbacks.
