In 1984, a 17 year-old Vinny Galanti competed in the teen division at his first local bodybuilding contest (finishing last place).  The event turned out to be the start of one of bodybuilding's true stories of dedication and perseverance as Galanti spent the next 24 years trying to join the IFBB's professional ranks.  In 2008, competing in his 13th National level event at 41 years-old, Galanti's dedication was rewarded with an overall title at the 2008 Masters Nationals.  This week, on the 149th edition of PBW, Galanti visits the show as he prepares for his long awaited IFBB pro debut.  Presented by MuscleTech, bodybuilding talk radio airs LIVE on Mondays at 8pm ET.

Vinny's been around forever.  Won the pro card, doing the NY Pro.  he's got a lot of muscle maturity that other younger guys in the 202s aren't going to have.

great build,really cool guy,courteous to answer pm's.deserved that pro card,never whined when he could have or should have been pro sooner.has the kind of build most trainers would kill for if given choice.

Yes, Good fella.  Met him at one of the expos years back.  I hope he does well at the 202 shows.  How old is he now?  I willl listen to this interview.

He is currently 41 years of age......great guy...... met him years ago at the 1996 Olympia in Chicago.
