This my current shaving stack

This is the best way to get a super close shave that leaves the skin healthy. The mach3 and all that other bullshit with 3+ razors snag at the skin and causes bumps and ingrown hairs and shit.

These blades are good for at least 3 shaves, but since they're $0.18 apiece, I only use them once or twice.

Also, it's a very enjoyable shave. You work a hot rich lather with the brush that smells real good and makes you feel like you're getting an oldschool barber shave. Throw on some 70's or earlier music, and you're set.

Damn - that's some serious equipment! I just use Nivea sensitive shaving gel and a two-blade disposable followed by the Nivea post-shave balm afterwards. I get good results from that but I've always wanted to try the soap and brush thing.

I will chime on this non bodybuilding related topic because you must look good with a good physique!

Let me tell you shaving razors are a scam.  I remember passing Costco the other day and saw Gillette razor pack, I think it was like 25 razor cartridges and it was like $50!  What a scam that is.  Costco is where I buy everything, but if that's cheap at Costco, imagine at some convenience store.

I have tried many different razors...  Known crap like Gillette mach 3 and Braun electric foil razors.  Garbage all of it!

My father gave me his razor, which was passed down to him.  It's a double edge safety razor and is the best!  But when I was young I tried all the crap anyway.

Electric was never good for me.  It always irritates my neck making it red and itchy.  I tried Phillips brand, those 3 headed rotary crap.  Took longer than a wet shave because I had to keep checking to make sure I got all the hair.  As I said above I tried Braun electric, different style, but not much better.

Gillette was never good.  Had the mach 3 and the vibrating one as well.   The blades went dull so fast.  3 blades, 5 blades, 50 blades, doesn't matter.  They get dull fast, especially if you have thick or curly hair.  More blades just got more hair clogged in between wasting more time to clean it out.

I tried many other manual and disposable razors.  Yes they got a close shave, but dull fast.  Every second shave or so I would get an ingrown hair or two.  Pain in the ass when it's near the lip or on the jaw line.

Started using the old safety razor and never went back.  Just let it glide a long your face and I do 2 passes with soap.  Very nice and clean, no cuts, and I rarely get an ingrown hair anymore.  I switch the blade after maybe 6 or 7 shaves.

I don't think you need any fancy aftershave or anything.  Never used it, see no need.  I only advocate shaving soap with a badger brush over some high price crap gel or foam.

hope this helps

Face- good old sensor excel are the best.
Head- clippers on zero. Everytime I shave my head with a razor, I get red bumps and ingrown hairs.

I use this bad boy. Closest thing to a barber shop shave. I had it for 2 years now and the blades are still as sharp as the day I bought it. Plus it comes with the flip out liner to do your sideburns and mustache.

Mach 3 disposable/standard. They last for ever! The fusion shite blades are too close together and clog up.. All this "closer, smoother shave" bull shit is a way of getting you to use more blade. Mach 3, just 1 will last weeks and weeks! I even had them last months if you clean them and keep them clean! I naturally hairy and have thick strong hair.
As for Gel/Foam, pretty much anything that lathers really!

I PAID $62 WITH FREE SHIPPING FOR ABOUT 15 MONTHS WORTH OF STUFF. I GOT TWO PROSARO CREAMS SO I DONT HAVE TO MAKE ANOTHER ORDER, AND 100 DERBY BLADES. I USE TO PAY ABOUT $25 EVERY OTHER MONTH FOR A NEW SET OF GILLETE FUSION OR MAC 3 OR SHICK 5.

roughly you saved 50% of what you used to spend. easy math there. If you have never used a double edge razor before let the weight of the razor do the work you don't have to press to your skin like the cartridge razors. Get a good shaving brush as well, you can start with a synthetic if you don't want to break in a badger brush, they stink at first but the smell washes out after time and they're the best. good luck..
