I will chime on this non bodybuilding related topic because you must look good with a good physique!
Let me tell you shaving razors are a scam. I remember passing Costco the other day and saw Gillette razor pack, I think it was like 25 razor cartridges and it was like $50! What a scam that is. Costco is where I buy everything, but if that's cheap at Costco, imagine at some convenience store.
I have tried many different razors... Known crap like Gillette mach 3 and Braun electric foil razors. Garbage all of it!
My father gave me his razor, which was passed down to him. It's a double edge safety razor and is the best! But when I was young I tried all the crap anyway.
Electric was never good for me. It always irritates my neck making it red and itchy. I tried Phillips brand, those 3 headed rotary crap. Took longer than a wet shave because I had to keep checking to make sure I got all the hair. As I said above I tried Braun electric, different style, but not much better.
Gillette was never good. Had the mach 3 and the vibrating one as well. The blades went dull so fast. 3 blades, 5 blades, 50 blades, doesn't matter. They get dull fast, especially if you have thick or curly hair. More blades just got more hair clogged in between wasting more time to clean it out.
I tried many other manual and disposable razors. Yes they got a close shave, but dull fast. Every second shave or so I would get an ingrown hair or two. Pain in the ass when it's near the lip or on the jaw line.
Started using the old safety razor and never went back. Just let it glide a long your face and I do 2 passes with soap. Very nice and clean, no cuts, and I rarely get an ingrown hair anymore. I switch the blade after maybe 6 or 7 shaves.
I don't think you need any fancy aftershave or anything. Never used it, see no need. I only advocate shaving soap with a badger brush over some high price crap gel or foam.
hope this helps
