In order to maximize your reps for 225 you have to do at least 6-8 workouts of specifically maximizing reps with 225 or else you will not get your best number.
So from experience I have built up a bench press of 405 pounds for 8 reps then I have dropped for my first workout to 225 for reps and have hit 39, second workout approximately 5 days later hit 42 then every 5 days hit 43, 44, 45, 46 respectfully.
