Um, the difference in your perception and reality is that he is dealing with GOP schills that are flat out refusing to play by the rules. If people en masse liked or believed in Ron Paul, they would have voted for him en masse.  Its not like his message is hidden or that he has not had the opportunity to present his case as to why he should be President.  He has been a career Politician for decades, ran for President 3 times already now.  He has failed as the people are still not receptive to whatever he presents.  The bottom line is, that he is  un-electable as the populace does not want Ron Paul in the White House.  There is no grand conspiracy at work, no bamboozlement.  He is unwanted by the majority, its as simple as that.
