It seems pretty difficult to isolate the biceps without the brachialis having a very strong participatory role. Are there any exercises or ranges of movement that would best isolate the biceps without incorporating the brachialis too much?

wider gripped curls...str8 bar, DB curls- palms open/up the entire time, ...slowing the pace, eliminating tension in hands, forearms

It seems palms up may be the key.

I have heard though, that well developed brachialis muscles 'push up' the biceps, is this true?

why dont you want your brachialis developed? the side chest, side tricep, rear double bi, front lat spread, most muscular...all have the brachyialis on full display. IMO make or break between good biceps and average biceps. makes the arm thick from all angles, and makes it look completes from the back.

it was always my experience that bent over/seated one arm cable curls with you elbowplanted against the inside of your thigs with little tension in the palm of your hand really emphasizing the flex at the top is a good exercise for what you want....also cable, cambered-bar drag curles focusing on the squeeze with your fists rolling back down towards your arm peak at the end of the rep.

I didn't say I didn't want it developed, just wanted to hear about ways to isolate the biceps.

Interesting - I never really thought about the tension in the forearms but it makes sense to isolate most of your tension in the biceps. Noted!

"Charles has me do hammer curls with my forearms in front and my palms
facing my body [instead of arms parallel to my sides and dumbbells
facing each other]. Then my forearms come up directly in front of my
chest so my right hand goes right in front of my left pec [and vice
versa]. We alternate arms. Doing them this way makes hammer curls focus
even more than usual on the brachialis and the outside of the biceps."

Why are you even asking this question when you sport this low a level of muscularity? :

If you add weight with straps to the 12 oz curls works tremendous for the brachialis. ;D

You can position yourself on the T-bar row apparatus and get some great bicep isolation with your dumbbells, using a variety of angles with your hands.  Mix it up between normal count and slow count.

By 'improvements' you mean close to 10kg more of lean muscle tissue?

I have.

These already over two months old:

and I put some other ones up a few weeks ago.

Not saying I look great but I am leaner and that angle was terrible.

You really shouldn't asl these questions until you built some mass in your arms first..
