He did compete, and he can't choose who shows up,  I give him that (albeit shows are chosen carefully).

What can be blamed is the lack of humility - all he had to say when the pics were shown was "wow, I need to work harder".  And that would be it. 

He did not diet hard, train hard, or even practice posing.

But nope, no way.  Blamed the cameraman.

I beat everyone I competed against. I absolutely won the cup. I am absolutely the champion. Now you can say I am the over 40 Champion and winner if you like but regardless I won and I am the champ.
