I'm done with gurus! DONE! yeah you hurd me!!
« on: March 21, 2012, 10:42:17 AM »
Optimal is running 35min twice a week and you can still do full squats and lunges!

So I had to sell all my weights and cardio equippemet, except two dumbbells, which is the only thing I used last 2+ years anyway, and started running outside in the forest for cardio instead.

So far so good, running in the forest for 37 minutes yesterday and just did 112 front squats with 80lbs and short resting in between sets and last few reps I had 20lbs in a backpack.

what more do you need? I just proofed gurus are all pretend and know jack!

conclusion: running will not make you less stronger or make you lose muscle mass, I don't know where that notion comes from, probably some "guru" on getbig? GH15?

but I intend to gain weight from muscle. I'm probably down to about 210lbs from not having access  to any heavy weights the last 2 years.

At 6'3 205lbs is simply not enough and inexcusable to me, that's why I'm now going to gain about 25lbs of muscles. I'm planing on rebounding to when I was training with heavier weights a few years back, but this time only with help of lighter weight and smarter training.

Show your wheels, sultan of muscle

I might show you sometimes how results looks like from squatting and running, in a few years I should have a somewhat similar physique to crocop only less body fat. it takes long time to add solid muscle mass that doesn't come off from dieting or cardio. That's the only kind of muscle mass I'm adding.

So you need a few years to evaluate the results? LOL
In case your goal is adding quality mass, the recipe would rater something like: moderate/high reps + quality food & recovery + (optional) legit hormones. Forget running, you're a bodybuilder, not a cardio twink, right?

yeah anytime you are supporting your weight while not sitting is using up calories at an accelerated weight. every pound you gain you multiply that factor, so instead of a factor of 205 and then you weight 206 that one pound is tallied with every gallop per foot or stride so say a.......

 run at 205 = 20,000,000 strides= 140,000,000

 a run at 206 pounds=  20,000,000 strides= 212,000,000

thats nearly a DOUBLE stress load even though youve only gained one pound!

lol I have taken notice of this in my increased metabolism and appetite. I knew this was coming, I was getting somewhat harder for a week or two, but I think I came down with a higher appetite after this. should be good for my weight gain though!
