I'm not a fan of this guy, but he didn't say the First Amendment is out of date. He talked about the need to interpret the First Amendment in light of modern day technology. He's right about that. Doesn't mean we need to amend the Constitution.

I get what he is saying, but fuck him, still.
The govt. should be afraid of people catching wise and exposing their rape and destruction of our nation, sorry for the dramatic hyperbole but it's true.
"Updating" the 1st Amendment is just another word for restricting it, let the govt. have an easier time spying on journalists, restricting journalists, prosecuting journalists etc. He speaks about "what is a journalist in this age...." and goes on about bloggers, website owners etc....what exactly would the govt. like to do? Obviously they are freaking out and doing some very anti-American things to stop leaks and to stop the public from hearing truth...what does he wan't?

It's just a sad situation.
The DoJ is actively aiding and abetting this stuff, they are their to cover various administrations asses when it comes to policies, wars and all sorts of other shit.
It's rotten to the core.
When I hear a politician ask someone in a show trial hearing about "Why do you need a 30 round magazine and an assault rifle?!" I point to stuff like this as the a pretty clear answer to that question.

Agree. I also think part of the problem is those folks spend too much time in DC and lose touch with what goes on in the day-to-day lives of ordinary Americans.
