LOL, we all use a trust now. Of course, that is about to change with the new rules that Obama is putting into place involving transfers.
It doesn't matter to me..my office is in a sheriffs office and I see that guy everyday..I'll just get him to sign off in them and get his people to print me  ;D

Trust is still good to have

one thing most don't know or understand is that in Texas we follow and obey and enforce the laws that we as individuals uphold and support/ believe in ..... once the FEDS pull their shit we refuse to apply . Ask any LE from Texas where they stand . I love this republic till the day I die defending it

They don't need to understand it. Texas will continue to produce warfighters, and men of honor and everyone else can continue producing skinny jeans wearing cowards

The 226 is a big gun for 9mm. For 9mm you can't beat the Glock 19. 15+1 or 17+1 with +2 mags.

Love my Sig in 40.

I have the 226 and the 229 in .40. For some reason, I can't hit the side of a barn with that caliber. I have .357 barrels for both and I am a lot more reliable with that.

Overall, I made the switch to Glock about 10 years ago, I carry and compete with Glocks and probably will leave the Sigs to be forever safe queens.

Whats up with these pussies who suffer from low self esteem so they have to buy a big gun to feel like a man.

NOMAD -

What will you be using it for? Home protection, concealed carry?

Can't go wrong with Glock unless you aren't used to that type of trigger safety, then you will shoot yourself when drawing it in a panic situation. They are cheap, reliable and parts / customization is endless.

Sigs are great but..little pricey. They'll last forever.

LAPD is moving their whole force to S&W M&P 9mm. Military still utilizes the Beretta 92FS (great, reliable, but heavy).

You will find that you may want to own different guns for different purposes. When in the woods for large animal protection .357 mag, home defense maybe a .45, concealed carry, 9mm as the ammo is cheap so you will get more practice with this caliber.

for example -

I have a .357 for hiking
Glock and a couple other full size for outside waist holster carry (winter time when you can conceal with jacket)
Kahr CW9 (9mm) for "pocket pistol" carry. Inside waist or underarm shirt holster carry when at work, church or anywhere I REALLY want to hide the fact I'm carrying...or where pistols are privately banned (restaurants my wife and kids like, local movie theater etc..)

My $0.02 advice -

-Go to a local range, rent some of their guns and try different ones / calibers.
-Learn your local carry and deadly force laws.
-Have an attorney in mind because if you ever have to kill someone you WILL need one. Justified kill means no jail but it doesn't mean the bad    guys money hungry family / baby momma won't sue you in civil court.
-Buy a safe to keep your gun in.

POS. The round is crap too. It's great as a conversation piece, but I would rather carry a fucking Lorcin in a real caliber than that thing.

Picked up the SIG M400 yesterday. Really wanted a gas operated AR upper so seemed like a decent deal for under 1k. Came with a Magpull Mbus, which doesn't have any vertical adjustments. Can hit shit at 100 yards unless I drop the front iron sight until it's out of scope literally. Planning on putting a Hawk red dot on tomorrow, wondering if there's a high scope mount you would recommend. Thanks Chief.

Gas operated upper = a solution to a non problem on the AR platform
